Fake African Prince Tricked White Woman Into Marriage Then THIS Happened... | Peter Lobengula

To see the Dorothy Dandridge video that I mentioned at the end of this video, click here: • Dorothy Dandridge's 2n...
PT Barnum along with his business partner James Anthony Bailey ran what is arguably the most well known traditional circus that ever existed. It was founded in 1907. But during that era, The Barnum & Bailey Circus wasn’t the ONLY circus in existence.
One of the lesser-known circuses of that time was founded by British showman, Frank Fillis. He had a circus company that toured throughout most of the world, but focused mainly on the United Kingdom and colonies of the British Empire. And it was in one of those colonies, South Africa, where he came up with the idea of an exhibition that he would name Savage South Africa.
He brought the act to Britain in 1899 - 8 years before the Barnum & Bailey Circus ever existed. But this story isn’t about Frank Fillis or his circus. It’s about one of his South African circus performers and the dreadful relationship that he had with a Cornish piano teacher who was in over her head where he was concerned. Peter Lobengula and Florence Kitty Jewell. If ANYONE from that time period wanted to make a case against interracial marriages, they needed only to look to this couple’s shenanigans as anecdotal evidence to prove their point. This relationship was…so bad AND so scandalous. Just the way we like it here!
Let’s get into it.
It's another Hot Mess History scandal from Ti Said What Ti Said. I hope that you enjoy it!

As a Zimbabwean I have never heared of it. Lobengula was King of the Ndebele /Matebele located in current day Zimbabwe. His Kingdom was destroyed by the British colonisers in 1894 and some of children were taken to South Africa by the colonisers. Trying to search if he had a child called Peter. African kings did not have concubines, they had lots of wives, they practiced polygammy.

At 6:01 in the video it lists Peter's middle name as "Kushana" or "Rushana". Perhaps that is the name he used in South Africa and not Peter? Also he could have been a son of a lesser wife (not a concubine) since I just read the king had well over 20 wives. But of course he could have just made it all up for the circus.

She may have tried to run away and start over but I doubt it because her marriage to a black man had been too well-publicized. She probably went down like many white women who marry black men due especially to the times. Disowned by her family and friends, she most likely just inched by in society on pennies.

What amazes me is the one sided view point that the man a savage…. There are numerous women that have mental issues that require a deep need for attention… playing the victim… needing someone to rescue them from a situation that they made up in their minds….just because historically it is assumed that this man assaulted her only because he was black… did anyone do research on african culture… did any so background on the men she had prior… there has got to be a very provocative reason why her parents/ mom or relatives loss contact… even before him…. She could have been a real mental case….I know two women….both created scenarios or lied one of my relatives told me to anger a man constantly til he can’t do anything but stoke her was a real turn on cuz make up sec was great… how sick is that… one even lied to destroy a man’s reputation cause they had a disagreement on how to use savings… in both events the women didn’t get their way and provoked or lied… why are we so quick to make the man the villain…
