Lyrics
This is my church
This is where I heal my hurt
It's a natural grace
Of watching young life shape
It's in minor keys
Solutions and remedies
Enemies becoming friends
When bitterness ends
This is my church
This is my church
This is my church
This is my church
This is where I heal my hurt
It's in the world I become
Content in the hum
Between voice and drum
It's in change
The poetic justice of cause and effect
Respect, love, compassion
This is my church
This is where I heal my hurt
For tonight
God is a DJ
God is a DJ
God is a DJ
This is my church
This is my church
This is my church

Rest in Peace Maxi Jazz. Brought a level of spiritual integrity and sincerity to dance music and created the sound track for the turn of the century in the process. Legend.

Then you ain't seen many bands. His voice is so weak compared to their recorded material. I saw him live in Sheffield years ago and was blown away at how poor he was. Music: 10/10 Voice live: 1/10
This is what happens when you have a stage full of great musicians who can successfully walk that magical line between keeping the groove together and spilling over into chaos. It's electric.
Honoured to have seen them perform live. RIP Maxi, you were an angel sent here to help us connect 🙏❤️😇💔

First time I heard this song/band from clicking on a "random" KZread video for the song title alone. I almost turned it off, "Don't really wan't to listen to 8 minutes of this spoken word stuff." Then the bass player came on - "Jesus, he's playing that bass like it's a weapon." Genius lyrics, genius level musicians - the lot of them. Fantastic energy.
You're the DJ now. Rest in peace!

So sad to learn tonight that Maxi Jazz passed away : an iconic voice and talent which will miss us but never be forgotten !!! RIP 🙏
Imagine you lay down, sit or stand. Once you hear this track, you loose control of your feet trying to follow that bassline, your hands following the drums until all your body moves and shakes. Maxi will never be forgotten.
For tonight, God has a DJ. Rest in Peace, Maxi.

I had ordered tickets for this concert. Booked a flight and the hotel in London. It was a beloved gift for my wife. We were really looking forward to this event. And then it cracked ... my spine took a lot of damage. Three months out of order ... I couldn't do anything anymore. Lie in bed and swallow pain pills. When I watch these videos today, tears come to my eyes. Many years later I saw Faithless again. First in Cologne and then on the last tour of these band in Düsseldorf. Unforgettable .... and now I am 66 years old. 😊

sister bliss is just epic ... r.i.p maxi that first verse says everything .
It is extremely rare that pieces like this come out of nowhere, they are so unbelievably good that one gets the impression that they are not from this world. Everything is just right with them: the soul, the bassline, the mix, the vocals - everything. They take you into another world, let you forget everyday life for a moment, no matter how dark it may be. These pieces have a spirit that makes that possible. And I'm thankful to be able to find such rare gems here, because compared to these dreamlike tracks, what's in the charts is absolute rubbish.... Thanks - and RIP Maxi!

Faithless tunes were the banging soundtrack to a lot of my life and still sound as good now as they did then. First time I saw them was at Leeds Poly where the power cut out in the middle of the set. Maxi came to the front of the stage and continued Acapella style, rapping about being there doing the gig without any power - awesome! Loved him and Faithless from then on. Total star! 🌟
