Faith Object Lesson: How to Teach and Describe Faith to Sunday School Kids

Faith is something we've all probably taught on before but likely, with not a ton of success. AKA: The kids only half pay attention.
Take the idea I mention here and give it a whirl. I think you'll love the results.

I have a bit of a problem with this. First off, let me state this is a wonderful demonstration of how to put faith in one another. It's a good starting point yet, faith in the Lord - real faith - goes far beyond explanations like this. Not all prayers are answered. Not all situations seem just or fair. God has his reasons for everything and may not seem fair to us at the time. Perhaps ever. Why were you hit by a car and not someone else? Did God not favor you that day? Why did your neighbor's house burn down and not yours? Did God not see your neighbor as worthy as you? To have faith is to have faith beyond what you can understand. Blind as we may be, sometimes the chair is there. Sometimes it is not. And only in the end can God say what is best for us. Sometimes, we HAVE to fall on our butts in order for our faith to become more real.

That’s where real faith kicks in. It’s trusting that God is in control even when bad things happen. There is a bigger picture that we are rarely aware of. Sometimes we won’t know why something bad happens until the second coming when God can explain it to us. Ultimately having faith is not about expecting that God will make everything great/easy for us now, it’s knowing that even when things go bad for us God is working in us and through us to achieve His ultimate purpose.

I love this active visual!Faith comes by hearing not seeing and is dead without action!Great understanding of how faith works! Even if they never find the chair and fell they eventually take off the blindfold and see what they had vision for LOVE THIS

You can use faith to justify any belief. There is no reason to use faith to get to Christianity than any other religion. Faith is not a pathway to reliable knowledge; as it is frequently used to justify wishful thinking and bias confirmation.
