    Rhonda, you are so right, this psalm is also important in the life of the church. But also in these times when people want to hear and know less and less about God. We should shine for him with our behavior and speech. Thank you very much . Greetings from Switzerland🙏💕

    Thank you Diane! I like how you put that: we should shine for God with our behavior and our speech. So true!! God is so worthy of all we can do to live for His glory. Thanks for watching all the way from beautiful Switzerland. My husband and I were there back in Oct. Such a gorgeous country. Blessings to you!🥰

    I’ve found that the temptation to fall into gossip is to hang out with those who participate. Flee from people who do so, or change the subject. Especially now, during this political time!!Thanks for the episode.

    Hi Sue! You are so right. Gossip is something we should nip in the bud-- stop it before it starts and gets out of hand. Not hanging out with people who participate is a good way to do that. And yes, especially in this political season, we should keep a close watch on ourselves concerning this. God really focuses so much on how we handle our words. So it's something we should take seriously. Thanks and blessings!🥰

    I just found your channel and I love it! Thank you for sharing God’s word. I love your knitting projects. I am just learning to knit. I’ve crocheted for many years but am having pain in my hands, and knitting doesn’t hurt them as much as crochet does. I think it’s awesome that you are taking Bible courses online. I finished my master’s degree in theology a few years ago. I miss reading all the books that went along with it. I just love reading and learning more about God’s word! I would love to achieve that, but that's a LONG way off for me. :) But who knows--maybe someday. There IS so much reading that goes with these courses-- I'm sure I'll miss it one day too. But for now, I'm looking forward to a break in a few weeks when this course is over. Thanks so much for commenting and again, welcome!🥰

    Thank you for the time you put into another episode! The gardens were awesome to see. I really enjoyed hearing about the books you are reading, both fiction & for your courses. I HAVE to recommend the book “Reading Moses, Seeing Jesus” for whenever you have time-it is short, but WOW, I learned things about the first five books of the Old Testament I had never seen in my life. It helped give me a very definitive answer for how followers of Jesus are to relate to the Old Testament Law; it can be a tricky subject sometimes to answer for those who ask. Glad to see you are well! Take care until the next episode. 😃

I only have 12 rows left!🎉 🎉🎉 The difficulty is that they keep getting longer…😂 Your colors are beautiful. I used the two oranges that are used in the original pattern photo on Purl SoHo’s website. And I do the same thing-- it is my go-to knit when I'm too tired to knit on something more complicated. Enjoy the last few rows!🥰

    Rhonda that was an excellent devotional! I always start your video with a Bible, notebook and pencil to make note of your references. Can I ask a question about your Glenfiddich cardi? I couldn't help but think when you wore it that it sums up the Church. Right and left leaning cables, ribbing, etc. remind me of all the different people in the Church (stitches) that in turn make a beautiful garment. I bought the yarn and pattern, but I'm having a brain hiccup. I make the size of the finished garment that gives me the correct positive ease, correct? For example, if I have a 42" bust I'd make a size 44. Idk why I'm having second doubts over this. Thanks!

  • @faithandknitting3994

    @faithandknitting3994

    Ай бұрын

    Hi Pat! I love that analogy about the different stitches combining to make up a beautiful garment and all the different people in the Church combining to make up the beautiful Body of Christ! That's so good!! Great insight.👍🏽 So about the Glenfiddich, I'm not a real expert on sizing (I've had my share of troubles with it), but I believe you knit the size that gives you the desired amount of ease. So yes, with a 42" bust, you'd make the size closest to that that will give you the ease you want. BUT that is IF you have the correct gauge as the pattern shows it. If your gauge is different from the gauge given in the pattern, you will need to make some adjustments. In Episodes 36 & 37, I shared about a video that helped me to determine the size to knit if my gauge was off. Her simple formula has been so helpful to me. If you check the description box on either of those episodes, there is a link to that video. Also, for my Glenfiddich, I wanted a looser fit than what the pattern shows (which is a more fitted cardigan), so I knitted a size (or two?) larger to get the boxier fit that I wanted-- so again, depending on how much ease you want. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.🥰🥰

    @patarcher1813

    @@patarcher1813Sounds good to go up a size. I don’t like close-fitting clothing either-especially sweaters. I didn’t even include the buttons on mine b/c I prefer it open front and looser-fitting. So if you did get gauge you should be fine to go up a size and have it be just a little roomier. Let me know how it goes!
