@@shougozero259 it actually comes when they reach a certain "level." Even Gajeel commented that "this is Salamander's weakness, not mine" during the game. It was then that it was explained how dragonslayer motion sickness works. Laxus and Rogue both admitted to suffering from it too, but didn't like mentioning it.

He never imagined that anyone would be able to touch him, much less beat him. So he never bothered with that ridiculous little weakness. I legit never saw that. Now that I have, I can’t see him as the single most dangerous villain anymore. I always thought he was the King Ghidorah to Natsu’s Godzilla. But after those 2 bits of comedy relief, I can’t see him as anything more than a more relentless Angurius.

@@stephvondames6369 nah it just happens out of nowhere. Cobra also didnt have motion sickness until the alvarez arc. Because natsu would get motion sick on nirvana while cobra didnt. And i wouldnt say its dragon force because second gen dragon slayers dont have it and they still get motion sick.

Though a talking cat probably isn't enough of an incentive for me to overlook being completely useless in a situation involving any moving vehicles be they cars, trains or the occasional flying fortress!

@Justin Shih Probably not, because they are dragons. Motion sickness only affects Dragon Slayers from 1st to 3rd Generation, This would also include Acnologia. Not sure about 4th Generation though. :)

I mean, there's also the fact dragon slayers have motion sickness because of the synchronization between the large gap of a human's semicircular canals and a Dragon's visual acuity. Dragons don't get motion sick, but Dragon Slayers that turn into dragons suffer this though. No idea why 5th Gen don't suffer motion sickness even though they are dragon slayers too. I would be safe to assume those born as dragons originally don't get motion sick despite them knowing dragon slayer magic.

It's basically Vertigo. As they get stronger, their senses become more like a dragons, and dragons have much sharper senses than humans, so it sends their semicircular canal out of whack and leaves them feeling nauseous.

Imagine if Natsu was on a roller coaster

It would be interesting to see how Natsu Dragneel would handle being on board my modern day clone copy ship RMS BRITANNIC II. If I was extremely wealthy rich. Especially during bad weather.

I don't have motion sickness per say, but I do have a stomach sensitive to excessive sweetness, sourness, fake sugar, MSG, and even excessive grease. However, there was this one time I felt the closest thing to motion sickness. I was in middle school, and during the tail end of my History class, I don't really know what exactally did it, but I threw up in the classroom's garbage can...much to the disgust of my classmates. Where the 'closest' part comes in, I rode the public bus home back then, and almost immediately after reaching my stop, I threw up again. There have been days, where my stomach been even more sensitive than normal, and that may have been one of those days. I discovered Fairy Tail after getting into High School, and this running gag may me instantly remember that.
