Couldn't agree more. Fairy Tail is one of my fave anime but they shouldn't revive the master. His death is a befitting death for him, it was heroic but then boom he's alive hahaha😭😆

i believe it was explained that Mavis gave the last bit of her lifeforce before she died. I think the hint was when he woke up and said how warm he felt. But 100% agree with you.

This arc should've been the greatest arc of Fairy Tail if they just didn't rushed it. So much potential of this arc.

Yeah unfortunately the manga got rushed towards the end here. You may be pleased to know Fairy Tail has a sequel manga that is handled better mostly and delivers a lot of hype moments. It's anime starts in a couple months

Many series have been hurt or ruined by the artists being rushed by executives or committees. One of the reasons that One Piece does so well in comparison to Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, My Hero Academia, etc. is that Oda takes breaks and isn't treated like trash to the point of falling ill by fans and their bosses like Kishimoto, Kubo (especially Kubo), Mashima, Horikoshi, etc. who are constantly overworked until they collapse and often end up rushing through their story either because they are too exhausted to work or because they have to meet some deadline that has been imposed on them, neither of which is good for creativity or productive work.

Is there an anime ending that most people don't hate??? A completed long running shonen to be more specific 🤔 I'm glad that the goat is taking his time but I feel like the anime community is just gonna turn on him when he ends One Piece. These are totally rushed but the amount of hate that ANY of these final arcs get are NOT warranted in the slightest. Full of potential and could've been better or different but people act like they don't even have good moments or wasn't good at all.

@@delanireid I can't think of a Shonen. Code Geass', a Seinen, ending is generally very loved but I can't think of a Shonen off the top of my head. The worse thing about the fan hate is that it gets directed almost, if not all, at the writers and not anyone else who has a say in the story like the editors, directors, executives or committees.

Honestly, the weird part about Fairy Tail specifically is that all the parts for a great ending are right there. The Spriggan 12 were FANTASTIC hype. They were introduced perfectly, hyped up so well and quite a few of them had epic defeats. But then there's also so many choices made along the way that just don't really work. Saving every Fairy Tail character. The match-ups. Convenient plotholes. The rematches. Random twists like Anna or Ultear (which could have both worked with proper foreshadowing/setup).

Yea the last few episodes was rushed cuz the manga got rushed near the end too and makarov got that might guy treat ment when they should both have died

Don't forget Acnologia separated his soul from his body and the soul fights 7 dragon slayers and the body destroys the continent with the dragon's instinct and not with its human consciousness.

10:01 100% agree, the biggest downfall of FT is them pulling the "this move will kill me guaranteed" only for the character to live, like there's no suspense when you're 300 episodes in and have yet to see someone actually important die. Not counting the dragons that were in the story for like 4 episodes. Also every fight being people going 100%, lose, go 200% the next episode, lose again, before finally going 300% + power of friendship and win, every. damn. time.

I agree, it did feel rushed the second time I watched it. I think the first time I watched I didn’t notice because I was watching on release days and there was time between each episode.

Should’ve let Natsu struggle a bit longer, give a more in-depth backstory to Acnologia’s motivations that would make us go “You know what? I see his point and would agree if he used a different method”, and show through this battle how his fight with Zeref affected him as a person.

Fairy tail is my favorite anime, but I can fully admit that it has many flaws.

Yeaaah no one really like how it went, but the last scene in the show makes you cry.

I got cooked for saying the anime butchered the manga (apart from music) but I still stand on that. 11:42 WAS SO BAD. This looks like Natsu broke it and now he can move his hand for no reason and Wendy breaks out after but somehow knows it's time to fight and throws an npc line about wind magic... I can see why y'all are confused. In the manga he moves his arm and Wendy says she can help. Making it CLEAR that she broke out and enchanted him. Also there's a canonical explanation of them breaking out because they heard their friends. It's been happening throughout the series that it's possible to hear those that you bond with. Ever since the Phantom lord few arc.

i realised everything was rushed from the moment dimaria lost to wendy and ultear came back

So acnologia just absorbed the time rift which was basically only one part of zerefs powers.

Starting from the whole mess with Irene and her death onwards, clearly the author had no specific plan on how to deal with the characters like Acnologia and even Zeref to some extent, a serious lack of foreshadowing, buildup and a rushed ending that heavily implies "power of friendship". That's why he added the 100 years quest as a redemption.

@@jonestly943 exactly, and that applies to how he dealt with Zeref and Acnologia too, he could've used the flame curse of Natsu for example against both via time burning concept and the fact that Acnologia can't devour curses.

The others dragon slayers don't look surprised 'cause they pass through the same process of crystallization...

The Power of friendship is yet the strongest magic in the anime. NGL i totally agree with you guys that guild master shouldve stayed dead for the story to grow and guildadrts shouldve been made the new master.
