One of the things I admire most about your journals is how many pages, tags, journal cards etc are painted and decorated by yourself, rather than simply using commercial or digital papers (which are, after all, some one else's work). This is amazing if author’s regularly made things like this for their stories it would be so immersive , just imagining reading the story and then going through the journal seems so magical. I can imagine tramping through the woods in look of fairies and collecting little leaves and flowers and all kinds of things to put in the journal and add my own little bits, what they might eat things they like just like a little field guide

Holly-Molly, Mare! That is a gator-mouth for sure! It might be as big mouthed as one of Barbara's (49dragonflies) journals. It is such a piece of art though. I love the first page where you've sewn the "setting" of the story into the page. I also really like the pages with the archways through the forest that you created with pastels and other media. One of the things I'm most impressed with though is your creation of little fairy dolls through out the journal - and tiny "artifacts" or treasures they've left for the owner of the journal. So imaginative and magical. Great job.

It's so obvious, that each page has your passion worked into it. And each of the little fairy "dolls" are like real children to you! Are you sure you will even be able to part with this stunning book? Mare, one detail I really loved about your video, is you gave us a look inside this beauty, but didn't spend 10 minutes on each and every single detail. For that I truly thank you! I also see that you are from northern Michigan. I was born n raised in Mich. as well, but not in the north area as are you.
