Fairuz is dubbed the Queen of the morning in the Arab world, because her voice goes very well with morning coffee and the ever so slightly cool breeze while the sun rises. I used to live in the middle east and have worked there for more than ten years as a doctor. And now I still often turn on some Fairuz music in the morning.

It is a known fact that Arabs listen to Fairouz every morning (even the new generation - Fairouz is more than 86 years old now -), and in the evening Arabs listen to Um Kulthoum (died on 1975). since this video is about Fairouz, you should google her, and listen to her songs more often, her voice is 2nd to none, and the music of most of her songs are out of this world. Keep up the good work, and thank you again. Greetings from Lebanon

The thing about fairuz is that she blends traditional Arabic style with European style singing. She started a revolution and modernized Arabic singing. She’s adored by the entire Arab world. Glad u liked it ;)

fairouz is a legend , but she's mostly known for her jazz songs . Her songs are mostly defined as classic arabic music But the arabic theme in music and poetry is something totally different although she grasps some of it in a couple of her songs .

Dear sir, I hope you would have the time to listen to Asmahan and her brother Fareed Al Atrash! If Asmahan had lived as long as Um Kalthoom did, she would be be number one in my opinion! The brother, Fareed, is a legend in playing the Ud instrument , writing music and singing! Both sibling were way ahead their times…. Listen to Layaly Al uns fee Vienna, sang by Asmahan and music by her brother Fareed!
