FAIRCHILD Tropical Botanic Garden CONSERVATORY Tour: Part 2 - Ep. 305
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
We've done tours with Chad Husby at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in the past, but the conservatory is ALWAYS changing, and Chad is ALWAYS a pleasure to botanize with, so of course we wanted to come back and see what new (and old) plants are growing.
Enjoy this tour. It's the second part of the conservatory. First part can be found here: • FAIRCHILD Tropical Bot...

CHAD IS SIIIIIIK, DUDE IS CLEARY A PLAYER
My favourite videos are always at Fairchild with Chad. So knowledgeable and truly passionate. Thank you for sharing with us 🌿
Loved this tour. The best thing about walking through Fairchild is that one is going on an adventure. One feels like a plant explorer discovering all kinds of new wonderous plants. Surely that must be how David Fairchild felt when setting out in his journeys to far off places in search of specimens to bring back. I'm glad Fairchild has preserved his dreams and added to them.
Feel great to see this men again 😇😇😇
So fun to see this lush rainforest during our long cold winter here in the north.
🇩🇰 🇹🇹 05/02/2023 🌱🌳🏕️🎄One Of My Dreams 🎄🏕️🌳🌱 my own botanical garden 🤗 Fish pond & a waterfall💧💧 Living in Paradise 🌺⛺🌹 Awesome 👍💯
I wish I could visit Fairchild someday
It's funny I've learned more about geography from gardening and botanical shows. Lol. New Caledonia? I had to look that one up. The conifers are just beautiful in these last two episodes😍 Thanks Summer🥰
I love your videos,🦋
So much content lately, thanks Summer ❤🌞❤️🌞
This was a delight to watch.
Plants are simply amazing in their variety! These tours are nicely paced, filmed well and informative…and a Dale Chilhuily sculpture?! Nice! Big thanks to you both 🤗🌿🌱
Oh my gosh what a treat and on a Sunday!!! Thank you Summer and Chad its such an amazing experience and so knowledgeable.
The palm referred to as the Window Pane Palm is actually a Reinhardtia (probably gracilis). Beccariophoenix fenestralis is the Giant Window Pane Palm from Madagascar and is a very large palm.
Omg this garden is amazing thanks for the tour!!
The palm that has the windows is reinhadia gracillis . They have a couple palms that have the windows and the one you put in is the most popular
I love ❤ these kind of videos thanks for sharing
Thank you for taking tours!!! I have a special needs son and just about everyplace in SoCal you have to pick a day and time to visit any park & I am not able to know when it’s going to be a good day! So this really makes me happy! I wake up early to enjoy quiet time & your videos 🥰🪴💚
Thanks again, Summer, for these wonderful tours.
Wonderful & informative field trip
This was a real treat thanks for sharing it
When it's Chad, video is a "save to".
The palm at 1:30 is actually Reinhardtia gracilis, not Beccariophoenix fenestralis (both are known colloquially as Window-pane palm, but B. fenestralis is a much larger palm and looses the windows as it matures).
Thanks!
🥰 Keep Rocking 🤙 the good stuff 👍 Beautiful people 🤗 the 🖖 continue with your creative vision play work faith zen treasure hunting conning with your KZread Family 😋 yum 2023 safe healthy happy you& yours 💚🙏💜🕊️😇🕯️🐇🦅🇺🇸🗽

very useful, thanks always share😀
I could watch these videos for ever. Would love to visit but I suppose Chad wouldn't be available to take me round 😊
Great video; love your field trip.
Great primer for my future vist to the FBG. Thank you!
Very very beautiful your plants sir❤️❤️
Amazing, Thank you!🌱 Summer, would you share your favorite botanical, gardening and environmental charities with us? Either in this comment or possibly an upcoming video? Thanks again for the lovely tour ❤️
Beautiful
Thank you. Love this.
The best vídeo ✨😍🤗💫💪
You should do a Heliconia episode
Aaron I right. I live in NW Florida and can not get verbena to flower in the summer but in the fall, winter and spring. It doesn’t cool off at night enough for them, or Supertunias for that matter!
Hey summer nice episode, i've seen a fieldtrip videos by Patric blanc on youtube where he did tracking in a habitat and looked for plants in the nature and then described it, it's really facinating and would be cooler if you kindly did the same in your neighborhood forest or something.
❤😊❤
Amazing. I was wondering if the climbing neon like plant on the left inside the last conservatory is a Neon Pothos with huge leaves.
This makes houseplant look like side chick.
20:01 Piper Auritum
Will there be one done on Singapore Botanic Gardens or Gardens by the Bay?
that giant multi-colored deco is weird
So if you keep your plants at 55 degrees they will survive and thrive? ❄️💚🙃

They will survive but not thrive. Their growth would slow down substantially.
Pest management, do you know how they control the pests in the conservatory? I could imagine if the pests got out of control it would be a nightmare, potentially losing many plants.❄️💚🙃

I think they only use beneficial insects to fight against the bad pest. I can't imagine they use any pesticide in the conservatory.
So much background noise 😢!
background noise reduction would be so much appreciated
