I would just like to thank you guys for all the support this year. December has been an absolute struggle to get thru for many reasons. I am not a holiday guy by any means, and KZread has been broken for me and many of my content creator friends in the community, and its widely know to be an issue. Some of us feel defeated yet keep pushing along. I put a lot of effort and quite a few hours writing out everything on my mind, remembering all this shit that happened this year in what I think was the worst year creatively for WWE in 2019. This is by far the single longest show I have done, and to those who say i don't do any research, I fucking laugh at all of you. WWE is killing wrestling, not only do they lose audience, but with this bad product they don't get new audience to the show. it's sad but at this rate i can't guarantee if wrestling can survive the next 10 years.

@@ralphlowrey and yeah, AEW is so shockingly predictable. Why would they do that to booking a lots of botches and cringes sometimes? I'm just using my computer to watch NXT than watching AEW my phone screen

At the beginning of the decade, TNA Impact embarrassed themselves going head to head with Raw, pulling a 1.4 against Raw's 5 million viewers. At the end of the decade, Raw is pulling the numbers Impact did THEN.

It’s gonna get so bad for WWE soon that they’ll beg for TNA’s ratings from those days. Maybe even migrate from channel to channel also

They say “Ratings dont matter anymore”. Their scapegoat is always something external: “wrestling is not mainstream anymore”, “People suddenly stopped liking wrestling for undisclosed reasons”, “it is because of DVR”, “It is because of football”, “It is because of KZread” and the list goes on. The reason is: Product has not been consistent this past decade (it used to be great, then great to good, then good to bad, and today is bad to terrible). Every Time we think they hit rock bottom but every year looks worse in terms of viewership and the product quality doesnt improve. Ratings dont matter anymore, until they start to matter, and that day they it will be desaster.

Never forget Vince, Shane, Steph and Hunter all gave us promises and told us that “WE were the Authority” that was the biggest middle finger and troll job they ever pulled on us😂

Here we are in 2021 and all I have to say is that you're right. There may be good things like Drew McIntyre as world champion and Romans heel turn, but not enough to save it from being trash.

WWE's creative has declined so bad the last 3 years. It started in 2017 when they made Reigns #30 in the Rumble. Ever since that night, it's been one creative failure after another

I believe that WWE's grade should be an F-. This year completely broke me as a fan to the point I haven't had the network for 6 months.

This was such a joy to listen to. 2019 was abysmal for WWE.

Best break down of WWE’s 2019. Vince, if his brain functioned like a normal human being, would be ashamed of his company after hearing this and would retire on the spot.

2019 was absolutely one of the worst WWE year ever and it's crazy how they topped 1995. In 2020 will be the moment of this company will suffer more and hitting the rock bottom for sure!

WCW 2000 is probably not as a bad as this. I mean there's some good things in here, but the overall booking is the worst I think I've ever seen from this company. Okay maybe I'm going too far, but it's still a very bad year for the company.

I liked 2017. I liked the Undertaker vs Reigns, orton vs wyatt. I thought 2017 was a pretty good year. I liked 2017.

I read a rumor that Lesnar may not be defending the WWE Championship at the Rumble but instead appearing in the Royal Rumble match itself. I hope it's not true. The WWE title is a joke already but with the title on Lesnar it's become more of a joke.

Why does the wwe think that by forcing all of this legends to do some type of comeback will help with the ratings. I hope that they stop with that because they don't really put over new talent.

Not lumping NXT into this cause NXT been doing great even in 2019 But as for Raw, Smackdown, Vince and Creative in WWE, this year was absolutely abysmal! They had some hope with Bray Wyatt and the fiend, but in typical WWE fashion, they always find ways to ruin such a good thing. It's like this whole year they were looking at their foot and going "Oh man, I cannot wait to shoot it all year long"! Because of this year, I have NO HOPE that WWE will get better in 2020, which is sad to say but it's their own fault, they keep doing it to themselves! They refuse to learn!

2018 was way worse if it wasn't for Becky Lynch and the Women's Division I would have quit on WWE.

2019 was such a horrendous year for WWE, I have a feeling 2020 will probably be even worse

When edge did those affair angles, it kind of worked because the whole appeal of edge is that he's the cool guy, the bad boy that every guy wishes that they could be. So, when edge does the affair angle, it works. When Bobby does it, it doesn't work because Bobby is an uncharismatic piece of wood. No one wants to be Bobby, they would rather be edge

With such a stacked roster too smh No lie I can write a better show than them It's really a shame

This was an amazing episode! I think a year in review not only is entertaining but will show all the apologists out there all the damage WWE does throughout the year. There's just not a lot of positives I can think of aisde from NXT and the Fiend. And I thought Wrestlemania and Summerslam were pretty good.

Rey lost the title at the house show at MSG so right now Rey not the US champ

WWE not including NXT feels like it got taken over by a Dementor. I am reading the Harry Potter series over again. A Dementor sucks the life and happiness out of every person it's around and the place yu r in is cold. That's how I feel about Raw and Smackdown which I haven't watched for at least 7 weeks now.

It's not only that the 2010s was the worst decade for professional wrestling.

If you ask me, 2019 in WWE is just as awful as 1995. There was no "changes" this year, and I don't expect any "changes" with RAW and SmackDown in 2020 either. It's more of that "We're making lots of money and screw you" BS from WWE. I will never give one red cent to Vince McMahon and WWE as long as I live.

Couldn't agree more with the title of the video. JD thank you for allowing yourself to suffer by watching Raw and SD and reviewing it for us. The only shows I'm watching now is NxT (like I always have for the past 6 years) Aew, and Njpw.

If they to take NXT on the road then I would prefer the 6,000 seat arenas then the 15,000 seat arenas

@Majin Styles AJ styles is an established guy. So it's not that detrimental for him. But Andrade on the other hand, is greeted by silence. Why would you crown someone who gets zero reactions from the crowd on a house show? It takes away his moment and also renders the title meaningless. It has the same worth as the 24/7 title

There's never been a more honest title wwe in 2019 was a waste of everyone's time excluding NXT. Vince and everyone in his circle NEEDS TO GO. I've been a wwe fan since I was 5 and it saddens and angers me to see what this company become. Something needs to change thia next decade. 2019 tops 1995 as worst creative year. Have a three way feud between Nakamura, Zayn and Cesaro for the Intercontinental Championship Get rid of Brock Leasner Turn Roman Reigns Heel after he wins the Universal Championship and have him join the Usos Push new faces like Ricochet, Alister Black, Shinsuke Nakamura, Almas and Ali Have Adam Cole win MITB.

JD 2019 is the year I cancelled my wwe network subscription back in October. I honestly love wrestling and it will always be a part of me. I will come back around wrestlemania season. I just needed a break from product. In the mean time I am getting to know the AEW product and watching old WWE dvds until then. Hope you have happy holidays. You are the best "stay hype"

I have noticed I had completely shut off RAW and Smackdown earlier in the year. I think it was after that NXT call-up debacle with Gargano, Ricochet, Chamipa, and Black if not sometimes afterwards. I started watching the show since AJ came to WWE since I followed him since 2006 when I switched through the channels and came across TNA. But, ever since 2017, Smackdown went downhill with the WWE championship being hot potatoed and Mahal as champion. Even when AJ won it back, I started to lose all interest in RAW completely and WWE crapping on AJ's feuds with Nakamura and Joe who I also loved in his TNA days. I love programming when it makes sense but as of the end of 2018 into 2019, I felt like they just take the life out of me. The wild-card rule was a complete debacle, the 24/7 championship I have no understand as to why it still exists, championship titles mean nothing, Kofi and Seth's title reigns were uneventful, HiaC got screwed up forever, and more. And Heymen and Eric were only brought in to be scapegoats to take the fall like Eric did. As long as Vince is around to some capacity, he runs the show. AEW, NXT, and NJPW is where it is at for me. Yes AEW has made some mistakes I am not going to go and make excuses for them, but unlike WWE's RAW and Smackdown, I can at least watch the program the entire way just like I did in 2016 without having to put the mute button on or change the channel without my intelligence being insulted. NXT has always been solid thanks to Hunter even though his hand has been forced by Vince to put NXT into a spotlight that I am not sure they were ready for or wanted. And New Japan has also been solid in terms of in-ring action (hoping and praying one day for an AEW-NJPW alliance).

Happy holidays JD. You really come through with the clutch on these long boring overnights at work. Love your podcast!!!

Think about the following: Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, Tomasso Ciampa, Finn Balor, Keith Lee, Matt Riddle, Dominick Dijacovic, Velveteen Dream, Roderick Strong, Pete Dunne, Walter. ELEVEN names that could be, eventually, viable and credible NXT Champions as of now. Now try to make the same exercice with Raw and Smackdown. Mind boggling, right?

You've been watching WWE longer than me and have never seen the company so bad as it is this year and the last couple of years now. I've been watching for 19 years, and this year had been the worst year for WWE. It has been so bad where it's the first time that I've actually stopped watching the shows on TV. I still keep up with it through KZread, your videos. It's just so bad that I just can't sit and watch those shows anymore. The only thing I watch is NXT, AEW and the PPVs just because you cant beat 10$ for WWE PPVs. The company is so bad that its really sad.

This was the year that the WWE pushed me over the edge, the year that I was so over the bullshit that I had to stop watching RAW and Smackdown. 21 Years of being a loyal, hardcore fan...and they brought that to a screeching halt. If it wasn't for NXT, I wouldn't be watching anything from WWE at all. So yeah, an F....and that might even be too generous.

The lack of creativity is a mix of many things. But if I had to pin point 2 figures which single handily keep ruining the product; it’s McMahon and the Smarks.

For me it 1995 was the beginning of the end of #wwe and it really died after the deaths of #chrisbenoit and #eddiegurrero.

I think in 2020 AEW will step their game up.Remember by next summer we can see Brodie Lee, Marty Scurll, Tenille Dashwood & Tessa Blanchard in AEW. Also we can have an AEW partnership with NJPW. I still think AEW should move to tuesdays next year for a higher viewership.
