I'm so sorry for your loss. I did the same when I lost someone very dear to me, I rewatched Kim's grief video when she lost her sister and it really helped. I'm sure it has helped alot of people. Sending you love and prayers ❤️

When I worked shifts full time I got everything done. Now I'm retired, okay I'm a lot slower than I was but it was never ending. I was cleaning the kitchen 3 times a day. Now if you mess it up after it's just been done then it stays like it till night-time. I was going in circles. Decided it's not my job to move dirty pots into a dishwasher that is 2 foot away from the dirty pots. It's not my relay batton to hold. 😂🤣😂

omg this video was so funny. I feel your pain in baking. I've learned over the years that you can throw things together when your cooking and be creative except when you're baking. In baking you have to follow the recipe, there is always a reason they tell you to do it a certain way...always. Trust the process. I've always wondered why you didn't label your containers in the pantry, when you're distracted by a million things just having one less thing to think about would help.

Canned tomatoes do the same thing to me! That’s why I started canning my own tomatoes. I think it’s the preservatives in them. 🤷‍♀️

Did you know flax seed can cause gut issues very similar to gluten or dairy intolerance. It's actually poison like apple seeds, except we don't eat apple seeds normally. The poison in flax is worse when it's milled. I wish I had known this when my kids were young back in the 90s.

To wrap your kitchen Aid cord, 3M Cammand has them and so does Temu. I have both, work just fine. Make up the nuts but put them in a seperate container so those that want them can have them and anyone that can't will not be exposed to them. Salsa is one of the easiest things to can. Water bath is always the easiest,

I have blue light glasses and they are a huge help, but then I sit in front of a computer and good part of my day.

I have never used can tomatoes for salsa, but your logic makes sense to me.

Great job on the pantry! In my kitchen, I found the problem with the various sizes of herb and spice or seasoning containers in the smaller jars are easily lost and seeing them all mix together doesn’t encourage one to search for a certain herb etc. also you find yourself buying another one because you are not sure if you have any amongst the pile lol. A few days back decided to tackle this, and buy a set of stackable same size containers, labeled them all and emptied the contents of the different shapes and sizes of other ones into these. Much better now, I can easily see and access them. No more searching!

Hey Miss Kim. I have a big mixer also. I love it. I just bought the cheese shredder, slicer for mine. I saw the slide thing. Instead of buying one I just put a tea towel under it. Slides from my corner out real easy now. Have a Fabulous day!

Kim! I learned recently that heavenly hunks are supposed to be refrigerated after opening, I’ve eaten many bags without refrigerating, but I noticed a couple times that they had molded over time after not that long 🫣😂

About the salsa, I haven't made any yet, but will be after harvesting our garden this summer. Tomatoes are super easy to grow, blanche, & peel, & then pack raw in quart or pint mason jars also, & salsa s/b rather similar to can bc it's tomator based & acidic. I water bath using a 23qt stock pot w/lid. It's a timing thing, so you don't have to pressure can & babysit a pressure dial! You can pressure can, too, or use a canner that will also water bath. If ppl do want a pressure canner, make sure it hss a smooth bottom for glasstop stoves. I recommend the 23qt Presto. If you have burners, the All American is good. For jars/lids/rings, Ball or Golden Harvest are reliable. I wouldn't use the jars from Dollar Tree, & have never tried the reusable lids on Amazon (& don'tintend to). A simple canning kit costs very little on Amazon, & the Ball Canning book or the Internet are excellent resources:)

My wife used to make coconut custard pies for the kids! She put one in the oven and pulled it out and the pie shell was empty! The pie plate had holes on the bottom and she should have put it on a cookie sheet! The custard cooked perfectly on the bottom of the oven!

The banana cake looks so good! Sometimes recipes just don't work out, kinda like life sometimes 🤣 I have a blue light filter on my glasses, which I wear first thing in the morning and for the last few hours of the day and I have noticed an improvement in my quality of sleep! I think it's because the blue light from our phones can mess with our sleep cycles and since I wear those before bed, it's been helping. I know the alternative is just to not look at our phones before bed but that can be easier said than done for sure!

Kitchen aid ! I have the cord wrap sticky things, love them. Use them on several appliances. I also have a mat that let's the kitchen aid slide easier, also love it except for when working with thicker doughs as it makes it move around a bit lol!

As always, i LOVE spending time with you while I fold laundry and do dishes, etc. I also love Disney podcasts, and now that my kids are older I am a Disney Vacation Planner bc I love to keep up with everything Disney but can’t afford to go all the time. My favorite Disney podcasts are WDW Prep School and the Disney Duo. Listening to other peoples trip reports is the best! Don’t knock it until you’ve listened 😂

We do pizza on Fridays but it's always homemade. If you don't like red sauce, try bbq sauce, mozzarella cheese, top with chicken (leftover Costco rotisserie chicken is great for this), red onion, and spinach. Add a little Mexican cheese blend and drizzle a little more bbq sauce on top. This disappears so fast in our house it's so good!
