Failed Tory Justice Secretary Gives Advice To New Labour Government?

Robert Buckland was once a Tory MP and a Justice Secretary but while both of those are been failures, it didn't stop Sky News from inviting him on to give advice to the new Labour government on prison overcrowding.

Will this be a regular event, bringing on ordinary members of the public, and getting their advice on what the national government should do? If so, I volunteer myself to be one of those interviewed. I have a lot of outside the box solutions to many major problems. Most will be about chasing and arresting the tax avoiders and dodgers. Jailing the grifters, such as Mone, and seizing their properties in reparation. Getting Shoesnake to detail all the deprived areas he took levelling up money from, to give to well-off Tory centres, and then force him to replace the stolen monies from his own personal fortunes.

I suspect defeated Tory ex-MPs are showing up on news channels because the channels are required to provide balance to their reporting. The Tories took such a fucking delicious hammering that Sky News etc have found it necessary to use them as there simply isn't enough sitting Tory MPs for them to always be able to pull together guests, often with haste, who have even a vague link - geographically/experienced/gov or non gov held roles/personal capacities& characteristics/schedules- whatever, to the story that is been covered that they have to grab ex-MPs for their coverage. The number of options in the fish pond has simply shrunk. Same goes for journalists and their curated networks of contacts, the number who are sitting MPs has shrunk dramatically. 100% agree it would be much better if they were no where near any coverage tho as we have already got rid of the shits once. Let's not forget that also means they're unemployed, have plenty availability and are more than keen for that appearance fee!😅 Hopefully the desperate pricks are aggressively undercutting each other driving the fees down💷🪓

Then he appeared on ITV later on...right at the exact moment Truss lost her seat. His reaction was total robot...no lights on in his eyes. He then claimed he remembered the exact details of the 1983 general election night in comparison....yet it was two weeks after his 8th bloody birthday...and he wasn't even challenged by Ed Balls or Suzanna Reid! A total charlatan.

Also, what do the Sky team not get about that as well? I find the level of Sky journalism so brazenly commercial. Now and again, someone from Sky might actually show some plums...Jon Craig with Dick Holding, Sam Coates sometimes, Matt Barbet holding Gillian Keegan to the fire. But it's not nearly often enough...and all too often, folk like Sophie Ridge, Trevor Phillips and Beth Rigby leave me frustrated with their lack of engagement that thinking people can actually latch on to. I don't think LBC are much better. Sangita Myska paid the price for daring to properly challenge people...and sadly James O'Brien (whose heart is in the right place) refuses to call out his colleague Nick Ferrari in such a 'working for the man' defensive way.

He's been on sky at least twice since the election. Full on "nothing to do with me guv" mode while offering unwanted advice to the people who beat him 🤦

I wouldn’t surprise me if this was a genuine mistake. Someone on the production teams booked him. And as soon as they realised their slip up it was too late and had to interview him. Also, why is he wearing a shirt and tie, when he’s unemployed?
