The fact that black mirror is still so underrated is shocking to me this is easily the most watchable Show on Netflix.... I can watch every episode 100 times and never get tired of any one of them...almost every one is a classic short film

You don't vent your anger by cloning people who can feel the torture you're putting them through. They weren't just bits of code, they were living humans who were cloned into the machine - like people permanently stuck wearing the vr device but without a physical body to ever escape back to. Robert knew they were more than just bits of code too since he's the creator of the DNA device that inserts them into the computer. It's not just a reskinned sim. It's a real person who has all the memories and feelings of the real person. Venting anger with faux violence is actually psychologically unhealthy anyway. It causes the brain to begin to equate stress being calmed with violence and escalates.

@@nicoleb695 They knew they weren't real. Thats like self aware AI, it's on the same level as killing an npc in rdr and then if the npc had a family then they'd react. I don't have no feelings for virtual characters regardless if they're "real" in the sense of feeling pain. If they exist in my game and look like someone I hate I wouldn't mind them feeling all the pain they put me through emotionally and physically.
