It's a shame that this project failed, and blaming Michael French from Retroblasting is absurd. Michael reviewed a prototype version of the vehicle, and he was excited to see the project come to fruition, but that's it. He was not involved in the production of it, nor is he responsible for the fact that the makers of this Airwolf failed to follow through with what they had promised customers. Hold the makers of this failed product accountable, not the people who bought it or simply wanted it to be successful.

Michael French is not to blame for people buying the product and I've personally not seen anyone say they blame him, though I'm sure they do exist. Where RB went wrong and what made most angry that I've heard from: 1) Ignoring people telling him Mars was lying and deleting comments or trying to roast those people in the comments. I mean, the signs were super obvious here. 2) The biggest issue was the follow-on video he did with Conrad. I appreciate the fact he did the video - I was one who requested it. However, watch the video again - you'll note that Conrad was allowed to bash his customers (and, IIRC, even threatened physical violence to one) and RB was also deleting comments of one of the people in the live video who received an awful kit and this person was one of the customers Conrad was bashing. That person (YT) went on to make his own video proving Conrad was lying.

Wow, thanks for the detailed and well thought out comment, Brad. That makes perfect sense. I still don’t agree with the hate towards Michael, However, if what you say is true I understand why people feel that way.

Mind boggling people cant accept Retroblasting promoted this & is partly responsible, please explain to me how he is not? Not his fault it failed but how in the world can people say he didnt promote it? He made a video on it basically talking about how cool it was & clearly from reading these comments has far more influence than "the other guy"!

@@bradlanghorst6269 I distinctly remember because it made me angry in the live chat when he had Mars on people telling Michael about what the guy was doing to them & it went ignored & deleted, dont anybody be fooled by what the Retro crew are trying to do, talk about selective memory

He has no current video up on his channel, that he could point to as the original 🤷 Anyway even though there has been “beef” between Michael Mercy and some retroblasting allies, I didn’t post this to harm Mercy in anyway. It’s just up to illustrate that retroblasting wasn’t the only person “promoting”(not really promoting just basically mentioning the existence of) this failed kickstarter.

A KZreadr called “Michael Mercy”. He’s been criticized by several big KZread channels for putting on a fake “1000% I am a positive dude” act, while being perceived as quite toxic if you know his real takes on things. Kinda the whole Kumbaya, positive vibes only type fake persona. Analog toys had major issues with him. This video, however that I made is only to talk about the failed kickstarter. I would suggest making your own opinion on Michael Mercy. Maybe he’s a good guy I don’t really know.

Yeah, I’m not trying to criticize him necessarily just showing that he did in fact, cover it. Also, the video doesn’t exist on his channel, so he can’t point to an original source that I am “stealing”

LOL, that Mars owner just posted a BS apology. He should have just went silent and ran off with the money like that Fans Strike Back owner who made that awful Bantha toy that Micheal French was promoting. Speaking of Retroblasting, he's the same person who promoted the hell out of that Bantha & the Airwolf and I can see why people are also angry at him for that too. And you know that Michael can't handle any criticism at all since he's just a cry-bully at best and a condescending, self-absorbed and highly opinionated toy collector who burns bridges with toy groups and even toy companies at worst.

Hey, we live and we learn… I think Michael just needs to shift gears and not give these makers a platform anymore. At least not his platform. he’s a big proponent of “the fans are doing the best work”, which is true but there’s too many Shiesty people out there unfortunately. In both scenarios, Michael French personally lost money just like everyone else. I learned not to back projects like this in 2010; an extremely reputable guy in the Atari community was developing an expansion module for the Atari 7800 game system…. I was insanely close to putting down $100. Well a year passed, then another, then five, then 10… then the guy actually died. every time I logged on the Atari forum I would check on the progress and every time I was happy I hadn’t backed the project.

@@GIDOJO If only Michael apologized in the first place about promoting the fraudster then a lot people wouldn't blame him in the first place. Like the other poster has said, he was deleting comments of people who criticized the shady nature of the Airwolf project instead of trying to look at their perspective. He should have been humbled from the Bantha experience but he obviously never learned from it like the arrogant, self-righteous prick that he is. I've seen how this guy has acted from his tantrums of the HasLab Sail Barge, his tantrums from losing a debate to Spector Creative that he made a video of it on another site, getting angry at his wife in a stream just because his toy got malfunctioned, doxxing someone who angered him over the Sail Barge..... Trust me, your opinion of Michael will falter to the ground had you read some of his other online shenanigans.
