They need to change the word. Its not a headache, it's head PAIN. Spinal head PAIN, low CSF head PAIN. Its NOT a 'headache'.

I want to give this lady a hug. I just dealt with a spinal headache and was told to do a lot of the ineffective treatments, hurt unbelievably bad to get up and go to bathroom and my only relief was to lie flat or completely reclined. I was drinking like 8 cups of coffee a day and because of pill heads narcotic addicts I couldn't get doctor even at ER to prescribe anymore than 8 weak pain pills..so ended up in the hospital ER each day after I went home until day 3 when they did the blood patch and it successfully relieved the headache and I could finally care for my newborn.

You have only head pain no any back pain?

I’m on 3 years with a csf leak from labor epidural. I wish all the hospitals had to watch this video! I was misdiagnosed until recently. Had a blood patch yesterday and feeling good!

4.7%PDPH is more of an accurate number, most people say 1.5% which absolutely a wrong stat. excellent info.

I had my baby boy in 2019 and had to have an epidural that went totally wrong. During the process my leg shoot up and in a few minutes I left leg was as big as Pole. Days later had a blood patch that helped with the headaches and was sent home. Now last year in November my headaches came back so bad that I was rushed to ER and once again had a second blood patch that helped for only a few days that the docs had to perform a third blood patch. That help and I was sent home. Now this year since last month the headaches are back again am so stressed have 4 kids to take care of. Imagine after 3 blood patches and here again from zero. So 3 years of headaches it’s unbelievable this epidural thing should be made very clear

is at possible to fly with an liquorcanal damage, liquorunderpressuere syndrom(not postpuncture) ? and is it possible to fly with this syndrom and a subdural hämatoma caused by liquorunderpressure?

I think the reason I got an spinal headache was because I was so nervous and jumping. This is my second birth and the first epidural I was given an IM shot of fentanyl and was completely still during the procedure. My second epidural i got nothing for nerves and ended up with a headache. During the blood patch I was given fentanyl again and it was successful.

you jumping has nothing to do with accidental dural puncture most of the times, its all about your providers technique.

They did two blood patches and no relief so what is the next options I had two days of relief and headache came back so now what they said just lay down for two weeks I have a six year old and a newborn I can’t live like this what can they do

@@uavdoug985 Yes it did. My symptoms consisted of headaches when standing, ears ringing, ears felt clogged up but from all of that I developed really bad anxiety and fell into postpartum depression. My baby is 5 months now and my depression and ear symptoms are starting to fade and was put on medication. My headaches eventually went away after the patch. I consulted different specialists and assured me my leak had closed with the patch but we stay with residual symptoms for a few months and was given migraine medication because I was told I was going to get migraine headaches from now on. Tell your wife not to worry she will get better just to be in bed rest not holding nothing heavy for two weeks after patch so it won’t dislodge and heal appropriately. Best wishes to her.

I'm in the same position. Had baby 4 Days ago and blood patch next day. It didn't work. Went to hospital yesterday and was given a migraine cocktail and Tylenol. No real relief. Ears feel like they're full of water now as well. Head and neck pain into mid back. Would love to hear your responses and results.
