Lou if your reading this know it hurts. there's nothing you can do to change the past. This album was a beautiful masterpiece that really shows no matter how hard you try to change your still going to be looked at as a piece of shit abuser. Then you have group of fans that blast your jams on repeat like "ME" even if they know what horrible things you have done or didn't do. its easier to cast the stone when the mass crowd encouraging the caster are influenced by hate and anger. As a guitarist I wish I had half of the talent you have. Someday I hope you get to show the world what could have been. I still belive people can heal.

This album is simply beautiful . The guitar and vocal harmonies are just perfect. I’m guessing a lot of the songs from this project started as riffs for what would have been the 2nd full length JANK album. A more mature sound.

Yep, the riff from Cleo originated from a jank demo called bummer jam, the intro riff from allostatic load is from freesam, and DNA scam was originally a jank demo

It would be wise to not assume it is abuse as such, when you only hear from news sources and what court dictates. Did the girl do this on purpose to ruin Lou's career? We will never know, and just flock to the opinion of the majority and assume it is rape.

as repugnant as lou's alleged actions are, his music is beautiful and should live on. I think it's so short sighted to remove his music online as has been happening already. we can enjoy music without liking how a person behaves - and this album is about accepting how shitty ones past actions are and learning from them. anyway please don't delete this. people should hear this album because it's a very good album and some of lou's best work yet.

it’s very solid but Jank will always have that special place, I wish they would reunite !

To all the people that say "don't feel guilty for listening to his music", you still have a right to be guilty if you want. for some people it kills the whole feeling you get from the album, from "deep thinking, good messages and good songs" but your perspective changes and it looks more like "disturbing, questionable lyrics and unsettling songs". don't get me wrong, this music is SUPER SUPER GOOD, I cannot stress that enough. personally, this music for me is very enjoyable just because of the genre and sound he is going for. But even with all of that I just cant help but feel very unsettled when listening after looking up what lou did, what lou looks like, just researching in general. I still enjoy the music very much but it irks me to listen to this. It might because I'm a softer person but I DO feel guilty, and i don't think there's something wrong with feeling guilty. I know that music is art and art is subjective, but the artist controls a lot of the emotions and vibe that you get from it. I won't stop listening to this album, because I enjoy it. On the other hand, I don't think I can enjoy it it the same way I did when I first found it. I know other people can relate, well atleast I hope so, and I hope other people realize that music is also attached to the artist and isn't just a nameless wavelength with no history behind it. But then again it might just be personally me cuz I'm softer than most and get sick at disturbing stuff usually. Some people choose to ignore it, but I cant help but feel a little put-off by it. I hope some one can relate to me.

thats really interesting guy. the way i saw through that was through realizing that many people in this world do fucked things, up and down the system. 9 times out of 10 someone has done worse today than he has, tremendously. though im fairly late to this i can imagine you could pull some examples out of your arse if you’re not ape brain. regardless, i’m glad we can both enjoy this for what it is though, genuinely.

This album was fully supported by the scene until it came out that Lou had sexually assaulted another person not previously mentioned who was only 15, to which Lou hasn’t even commented on. Pannuccis pizza ended because he did this and the drummer wanted out. They haven’t taken accountability for traumatizing and Ruining two peoples lives for the sake of their own ego and pleasure. They even have a song called Clive barker Lawson that is pretty much confirmation that they did it, with lyrics essentially saying they don’t feel bad that they did it. Jank is talented and their music affects my soul. The fact that people still support Lou after these things and act like this album makes anything better or fixes anything is fucked up. I’ve known many women who have been raped or assaulted and I’ll tell you that’s far worse than any reputation ruining one can experience. The only way lou can take true accountability is if they admit to it publicly and legitimately apologize and account for your actions. Don’t make another album that only exists to convince people you are a good person when you aren’t. Lastly, Lou just realized a new album and my friend recommended me a song from this album and it brought up my bitter thoughts about this band. When I go to the comment section aaying “people can change” it makes me lose faith in humanity ever so slightly. Lou has done nothing to deserve praise or fan praise besides make music that’s pretty damn good., they got themselves kicked from the entire emo community, which only really happens if what you did was pretty fuckin bad. Prince daddy publicly hates them. That’s pretty bad.

as much as he tries, lou's never gonna satisfy the people that want him get on his knees in apology. that said, what he did make is an album for people who find themselves in a similar predicament as himself. on an artistic level, this is an album worthy of acclaim

Exactly what I was thinking. But honestly dude, it really does give me such a bummed feeling knowing what Jank could've been if Lou had never gotten himself in those situations within the first place. It's such a difficult spot for us as fans trying to determine whether we should listen to music meant for our pleasure just because the creator themselves messed up in their personal lives at some point. We don't know who Lou is as a person, but I see many people commenting acting like they do. Sad fact, is that we weren't there when those things happened...so only the people involved such as Lou or any of the proclaimed victims are the only people who know the truth in which they have to carry for the rest of their lives. I love this album just as much as any work from Jank and Pannuci's Pizza, but people just need to take the situation with a grain of salt and enjoy the music. As much as Lou should atone for his mistakes if the "rape" situation is true, them trying to improve as a person and repent for their past actions in it's own way is okay.

I would understand thinking this with the limited information on reddit, but this entire narrative of the album being made to “cover up” other things lou has done is incorrect. Those who lou harmed explicitly stated that they did not want any information about their encounters to be public. Not to mention that the “non-answer” in that post is not actually a non-answer, since what the poster left out is that they asked lou about the 2016 allegations, and not about the new allegations that surfaced, which is why they received the weird answer which seems like dodging the question when you don’t know the context of the question that was actually asked. The whole thing was witch-hunting disguised as genuine concern, considering this poster directly disrespected Lou’s victim by making the information public against their will, and giving out of context screenshots implying they asked one question when they asked another in order to justify themselves.

The bad will always outweigh the good. Trust me pal.
