I don’t expect everyone to agree with everything Moore stand for but dudes always been solid. Moore isn’t perfect. No one is, but you have to give him credit.

Michael Moore doesn't do films like this anymore. He use to be unreal in his technique.

@@Ramzblood The video on renewables isn’t objective and makes a lot of claims that aren’t true. Solar Panels Video 8% efficient is very low most are 15% to 21% (a couple are even higher). Here are the top five best solar panel manufacturers ranked based on the highest efficiency solar panel they have to offer: 1. SunPower (22.8%) 2. LG (22.0%) 3. REC Solar (21.7%) 4. CSUN (21.2%) 5. Panasonic (21.2%) The most efficient solar panels on the market today have efficiency ratings as high as 22.8%, How long will solar panels last, the video said 10 years? The video is wrong, solar panels don’t only last 10 years. “As a general rule, solar panels last for about 25-30 years. However, this doesn’t mean that they stop producing electricity after 25 years - it just means that energy production has declined by what manufacturers consider to be a significant amount. Solar panels will continue to work for many decades, given they aren’t physically damaged by wind, debris, or any other external factors. This is primarily because solar panels don’t have any moving parts - they rarely break from within and are usually only damaged by outside forces like a poor racking setup or inclement weather.” Is coal needed to make solar panels, and does that mean what’s the point of using solar than anyway? No, coal isn’t “needed l” to make solar but even if you use it you are only using to make the panel not continually as you would for electricity to power your home without it. So let’s say you do use it to make the panels, ok but after they are made you aren’t using coal anymore to power your home so it’s still a net win (even if it’s a back up, it’s still not used as much and still a net win overall). Solar panels need a large area set aside to power a city, in the film they said about 15 sq miles would be needed, is this true? No, most residential solar panels are put on the roof of the home they are being used for. If it’s for commercial use you usually still can put it on the roof and even in the example given if they used a combination of roof top and land (plus higher efficiency solar) they could dramatically reduce the amount of land needed. The video said solar panels don’t work on cloudy days and you will need to be connected to the grid for times when the panels aren’t producing power is this true? Not really, you can be connected to the grid and in some cases you may be required to be but when you produce more energy than you need you will actually be being paid by the power company for power you are putting back in the grid. So that will offset the cost when you do use the power from the grid. Also, you can be on battery storage that you use for when you are not producing energy. The other thing is many solar panels do work on cloudy days they just lose efficiency but it’s not like they stop working completely. In the end, the point is a lot of statements made about solar were completely inaccurate. Solar is absolutely a viable option and a net win for your wallet and the environment. You just have to be a smart shopper and do your research.

I remember watching the video of that when I was a young teenager. It literally scarred my brain for months. It was horrific. It's been almost 20 years since I watched it and I still can see it in my head. How a human can do that is beyond unthinkable

Look who fought in WWI: Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire (the Central Powers) fought against Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, Japan and the United States (the Allied Powers). Look at WWII: Axis powers (Germany, Italy, Japan, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria) versus Allies (U.S., Britain, France, USSR, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Yugoslavia).
