Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University - A Virtual Tour
The Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University (A.M.U.) is one of the oldest institutions imparting legal education in India. The teaching of Law was originally introduced in Mohammadan Anglo Oriental (M.A.O.) College (precursor of A.M.U.) in the year 1883. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the Founder was greatly impressed by the Programme of Legal Education in British Universities. So, he was very keen to have legal education on the same pattern in M.A.O. College as well.
Our Faculty is the pioneer Faculty to bring about radical change in the legal education in India to make it modern, socially relevant, economically viable, professionally job oriented and humanistic. Because of the great efforts of our Faculty members and students we are able to prove that Faculty of Law is a great seat of excellence in terms of academics and higher researchers.

Remained student of this LAW FACULTY during 1977 to 1984 but it was located in S S HALL that time .Though we had not such facility at that time but our LIBRARy was rich in books.I had purchased hardly 2 or 3 books during whole period but used library books .Teachers were vry helpful I am indebted to Aligrah Law House also Law book shop in Shamshad Market who used to provide us books for reading and return back.Pray to Allah for his progress .You us Mian was a peon but was serving nice tea to us also.No separate canteen.One tea wala was at S B I and Jameel was there.Love to LAW Faculty .Long Live A M U

معراج الرسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ماڈرن خلائی سائنس کی روشنی میں ( 4 ) واقعہ معراج اللہ جل شانہ جو اپنے بارے میں ارشاد فرمایا ہے : بديع السموات والأرض إذا قضى أمرا فإنما يقول له كن فيكون o ( البقرة : ١١٧ ) ( وہ اللہ کی ذات ) سب آسمانوں اور زمین کا موجد ہے ۔ جب وہ ایک امر کا فیصلہ کرتا ہے تو اس کے لیے صرف اتنا کہنا کافی ہوتا ہے کہ ہوجا تو وہ ہوجاتی ہے ۔ کی غیر محدود قوت اور قدرت کاملہ کا مظاہرہ تھا ۔ آج کا دور خلائی تحقیقات اور اس سے متعلق مختلف نظریات کا دور ہے ۔ اس لیے ساتویں صدی کے ابتدائی زمانہ کے مقابلہ اکیسویں صدی کی تیسری دہائی میں اس محیر العقول واقعہ کو سمجھنا کچھ آسان ہوگیا ہے ۔ اس سلسلے میں ایک اہم بحث وقت کے بارے میں کی گئی ہے کہ وقت کیا ہے ؟ اس سلسلے میں البرٹ آئنسٹائن کا نظریہ Special Theory of Relativity قابل ذکر ہے اس کے مطابق وقت ایک اضافی شئ ہے جو Frame of reference کے ساتھ الگ الگ ہوتا ہے ۔ مثال کے طور پر اگر ایک شخص زمین پر ہے تو اس کا وقت الگ ہوگا اور دوسرا شخص اگر گہرے خلا سفر کر رہا ہے تو اس کا وقت الگ ہوگا ۔ اس نے وقت ( زمان ) اور خلا ( مکان ) کو ایک دوسرے سے مربوط کرکے زمان و مکان ( Space and Time) کو مخلوط شکل میں پیش کیا ہے وقت کے تعلق سے آئنسٹائن کا یہ نظریہ بڑی اہمیت کا حامل ہے ۔ روشنی کی رفتار ایک سیکنڈ میں تین لاکھ کلومیٹر ہے اور یہ مستقل ( Constant) ہے ۔ اس کا کہنا ہے کہ اگر ایک شخص ایک خلائی جہاز ( Spaceship) میں سوار ہو کر خلا میں روشنی کی رفتار سے سفر کرتا ہے تو وقت اس کے لیے رک جائے گا ، اس کا سفر خواہ کتنا ہی طویل کیوں نہ ہو صفر وقت ( No Time ) میں ہوگا ۔ سفر معراج جبرئیل ، میکائیل علیہما السلام اور دیگر ملائکہ کی معیت میں براق پر ہوا تھا ۔ یہ صحیح احادیث سے ثابت ہے ۔ براق جنت سے لائی ہوئی ایک نوری سواری تھی جو اللہ جل شانہ کی طرف سے بھیجی گئی تھی ۔ آئنسٹائن نے جس روشنی کی رفتار کا ذکر کیا ہے وہ ہماری معلوم دنیا کی روشنی ہے ۔ یہ نوری سواری اپنی کیفیت میں اس روشنی سے بالکل مختلف ہے ۔ ہم صرف اتنا کہ سکتئ ہین کہ اس نور کی سواری کی سرعت کا تصور آج کی سائنس کرنے سے قاصر ہے ! جاری
