If you do it, it becomes activation locked

Still need to come through the activation lock. And the Gmail on the locked phone is on another phone That got wrecked.

Forgot password on iphone and ipad? available at mac and windows. 1 put it back on table and desk. 2. Install iTunes 3. Open iTunes. 4. Connect the pc and mac on iphone 5. Press volume up,down press hold power button. 6. Keep holding on power button then entered recovery mode. 7. Press restore, press restore and update. 8. Wait at 5~15min. 9. Restore completed. 10. Setup iphone and ipad to without lock screen password. 11. Sign in apple id 12. Iphone setup completed. Iphone and ipad is ready sir.

But when connected iTunes the phone pop up ( to connect accessories need unlock passcode) coz the phone not able to connect with the pc in iTunes..any solution? Appreciate if got any solution 🙏🏻

Only at window 10 and Mac. Only install at iTunes.

that happened to me, you gotta put it into recovery mode first

This is fake dont try it if you dont know the password of icloud dont try this, your phone gonna be locked until you know your password of icloud

Does pressing update reset the iTunes lock without erasing the device or having to use a backup? I have an iPad 2 and the iCloud storage filled up and I don’t want my data to be erased

No, doing this will reset the entire device, anything stored locally will be lost. This method is for a factory reset, aka if you were going to sell your device. If you’re completely locked out I’m not sure but if you just don’t know the password but you might be able to connect to a computer & save your files /photos temporarily while you reset. Although saved passwords & data regarding apps would be saved, because that saves to your iCloud. iCloud is cloud storage (can be accessed just by logging into an account) vs something being stored locally (only on your phones hard drive). Realistically it comes down to what settings you tend to have enabled. If you have auto-backup on you will be able to back up fairly simply after a reset.
