Take x^2 as a blue big square 2 blue rectangular pieces as 2x 5 red rectangular pieces as -5x It will be equal to -3x And red smal squares as -10 Now place all as Big blue Two blue rectangular pieces beside the big blue 5red rectangular above big blue 10 red small squares in the corner The shape will be of a rectangle whose length x-5 Breadth x+2 Hence factors Draw it on paper then do with pieces.

Yes Yogesh..Just take 5 red coloured rectangular pieces i.e.-5x and 6 red coloured small squared pieces i.e. -6x and follow the same method..

I don't understand how to get fraction (x-6)(x+1)because - and - =+ and we don't have "Blue" small +ive square . How to make square or rectangle shape ? Please reply

Dear Harshlata For this we will take a big blue square of x for x square 6 red rectangular pieces representing minus 6x One rectangular blue piece representing plus x And 6 small red piecs representing minus 6x Now to make factors Put the big piece and then place one blue rectangular piece on it horizontally And place 6 red rectangular pieces beside it verticality These will multiply with each other and minus *plus will bevome minus So we will place 6 small red pieces at the corner Factors will come as (X+1)(X-6)
