Heroes are unadapting rebels, revolutionary, who change the history. We can say that Steve Jobs was one visionary rebel hero, who changed the world and whole world had to embrace and adapt his products and technology. So, in fact, do we need to adapt to change the world, or we just need to adapt to cope with changing world? 😶

I like the Blockbuster vs Netflix comparison. A lean start up company on a shoestring budget can become the 800 pound gorilla and put the previous gorilla out of existence. The problem for any company is that it becomes too big and bureaucratic and can't respond quickly to new market demands. There are exceptions like Microsoft but Microsoft managed to almost create a monopoly by licensing its products and also getting into governments where everyone has to comply with the government software. Blockbuster could have made agreements with film companies, movie theaters, and tech companies that manufactured VCRs and DVD players to keep Netflix out of the game. But because the Blockbuster bureaucracy was only looking at the numbers, Blockbuster couldn't compete with the new video formats.
