Always cash for these things. I rarely sell anything expensive on Facebook, just give me the cash!!😀

I bought something from a seller once who asked to meet at a location near her place. She sent me a screenshot of a location right next to a police station and said she regularly completes Marketplace transactions near there. I suppose that was one way to sort out physical scammers from knowing her address.

I'm not sure about meeting someone in a strange location, though next to a Police Station is about as safe as you will get 😂

Reporting scammers to FB is useless. I used to do it regularly but now I can't be bothered. FB is too busy banning users for posting up risqué images.

100%. I report and report and report, but I still see their accounts. Though Facebook must have millions of reports to deal with.

Facebook needs to verify this people properly it's become a joke now

That's a good idea for Marketplace. Every time I try to sell, I get scammers!

Yeah, if someone talks about a different payment method other than cash, or a strange collection method, then it's an instant red flag!
