Merci beaucoup! You did an awesome job in showing us Anger in 38°F weather.
Hi Diane. Thanks for the tour. I lived in Angers with my wife in Angers beck in 1992-1994. I grew up in Montreuil Bellay about 1h from Angers. After 34 years in Fance I moved with my wife and our two chilfren to the USA in 2010.

NICE! 💝💝💝
This was great. Thanks!
Bonjour! I'm Emelyn, a Filipina American living in New York City. I went to Paris before many, many years ago but only in Charles de Guile Airport. I used to be a flight stewardess for Trans Asian Airlines then. I am studying French on my own for a year and a half. I love the language! I use Duolingo, Mondly, Collins French Audio Course, Rocket French, French for Dummies, etc. I listen to French sings and I seize every opportunity to use my knowledge to French tourists visting New York City. I can read French but I have problems with pronunciation. I will continue studying French because it is very interesting.
Hi Diane. I only recently found your vlogs and am enjoying them immensely. I especially love the way you connect beautiful visuals with practical information and historical context. As an American we aren’t accustomed to walking thru generations of history on our way to the market. Amazing !

My old french teacher had a host family from Angers and just went to visit them in this past year! Would totally love to visit some day
I visited Angiers a VERY long time ago. Mostly only remember Chateau D'Angiers. If I told you the story, you would think me a nut. .... Perhaps I am. Your blog brings back some wonderful memeories. Thankyou.
I love your blogs, your smart wits, your adventurous spirit, your open mindedness, your forthrightness in "setting wrong stereotypes straight."
My family lived on Rue Hanneloup for a semester in Winter, 2012. We loved Angers-
Awesome thankyou

Hi Diane. I’m speechless. What an exciting tour. Angers is a beautiful town and the castle is magnificent. You have so much energy and your pleasant voice makes everything delightful. I just finished watching and will be watching again to pick up the moments I missed. Get some rest and enjoy your day. Josef in Cape May.
Such a beautiful city in France unheard of by many.
You sounds good & clear. Interested in this town.
Beautiful tour! Thank you. I particularly loved the gardens at the castle.
Beautiful tour, feel like I've just visited the town in person with you. Thank you for this! You are a natural. Makes me want to visit.
Fantastic job! Thanks for braving the wind and cold and taking us along with you! (Love your winter jacket/coat too!)
Hi Diane! Awesome tour, thank you! I can't believe this was only your 3rd live session! You came off so naturally and at ease. Kudos to you =) cheers!
Absolutely LOVE this video. Now we want to see Angers as well :) Thank you :)
❤️ keep those adventures coming
This is beautiful. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for bringing Angers to us! I am home sick from work, but spent much of my day watching your videos. I hope to visit France one day, and this was a lovely opportunity to learn about Angers.

Nice video 💪🇫🇷
Beautiful town! Love the castle and the half timber houses!! You're so lucky to live in France!!!
Just watched. Great Tour. Thank you, Trams are great.
We love Angers. We have an apartment just where you stopped on the steps to look up at the cathedral. An apartment in the building with the green door. We love the history and restaurants. We bought there because of the those things and also because of the college vibe there. So so so much to offer and close to so many other incredible things to see. I love Paris too, but I more appreciate the "local" scene in Angers. Thanks for your video.
I really like the video . Wonderful ❣️ city
Hi Dianne! I’ve only joined your channel recently but I’m really enjoying your vlogs!
Great info, especially about trains direct from CDG to Angers. Good to know.
Hi Diane, nice little tour of the wonderful city of Angers. Thanks for sharing. I was raised there and I can't wait to see it again. I'll definitely let you know when I am ready to do so.
Great tour!

Hi! It’s about 2:45 am in SB, Ca... I’m not sleepy so I found this video that I wanted to see earlier this afternoon!!! Thank you for putting this up for us to see❤️🙋‼️😍🤩Have a beautiful day dear heart! Merci!!!
I just discover your channel, i live less than one hour from Angers. So it's funny to see this place where i go often through your eyes. It's great not to show something else than only Paris. One day you ought to show the Loire Banks. I love to drive along the "levée".
Wonderful walking tour of different parts of Angers! I'm wondering if most of the metro area is densely populated with apartment buildings or if, perhaps away from the city center, there are private homes with yards and large-footprint stores.
Good job, good video!
Thank you, Diane! I am learning so much from your tours. I am 74 and live in Arkansas.

If you want to settle in France, I advice you Angers: It's considered as one of the best cities to live in France. You have a good weather (we speak about "la douceur angevine") , the famous "vins d'Anjou" explaining why Gerard Depardieu who loves good wine, bought his property with vineyards there). You are also in the Loire vallée where are all the castles. You are not far from Paris and you have a TGV station (high speed train) that gets you to Paris in 1 hour! You have beautifull countrysides along the Loire vallée, considered as the most beautifull river in France, You have in Angers a defensive castle of the 13th century built by Saint-Louis, which contains the tremendous tapistries of the apocalypse (the nicest tapistries kept of the middle-age). By car, you can have a ride to visit many castles with nice countrysides. Most people understand English in Angers, as it is a very tourist city which have been English in the past). The food is very good and you have good products, especially very tasty fruits, famous in Angers, and good patisseries too. It's a universitary city, dynamic, with lots of students... In brief, Angers is a pleasant place to live-in, with a good quality of life, ideal to relax, but where you can also visit many castles, as the kings used to leave in the Loire vallée.

@@Rachel-rs7jn Rachel, summer is perfect, not to hot and not to humid. As Angers is in the middle of France, the weather is intermediate. I would say that summer is perfect all over France. Summer is ideal to practice the french favorite hobby, having a drink on a terrasse, just chatting and watching people! Just mind one thing, if you want to rent an automatic car, to be sure to get one, try to book it few days in advance because, like the italians, the french prefer the manuals, so the manuals are easier to find. Second thing: As visa cards are accepted everywhere in Europe, American express cards are more expensive for the shops, so American express cards are not accepted everywhere, but you can get some change at an ATM machine, we call " un distributeur de billets" . And we never know, if you go further north, I am the guide of the castle of Chantilly (60 km north of Paris) , famous for its tremendous collection of art (the second collection after the Louvre) and its whipped cream we call Chantilly cream (it's especially delicious with strawberry pie!): I you come, I will be your guide with pleasure!

@@paulchapoy992 Hi Paul, merci encore ! Actually I have lived in France before so I am pretty familiar with it. 😊 (And I do know how to drive a standard - my parents insisted I learn growing up! 😄) My partner is French and currently living in Lille, which is where I will be spending this summer. But that isn't where we want to ultimately have our pied-à-terre, so we are researching the options that fit what we are looking for, and Angers is definitely on the list!
Hi Diane. Just wanted to drop a line and say hi. I’m subscribed to your channel and love all your content. Especially the videos behind the scenes at the patisseries, being a pastry chef myself. Never been tonAngers so I loved your tour. I’ve been to Paris and other parts of France a few times now and can’t wait to be abed to travel again. Please speak more in French.I'm trying to learn. I loved when you told the story at the market ,buying a cantaloupe and were asked the question, pour co ? Don't know about my spelling but I learnt, if I'm asked, will I eat the melon today or soon or do I want one a little less ripe. Thank you for your informative blog,I hope to visit France but first I'm experiencing it and learning watching your blogs. Trying to study the language and culture because my daughter and 7 year old granddaughter may move to France next year. Thank you, Diane
Hi Diane. What a lovely place to live. Do the towns people do a promenade Sunday evenings like “da passeggio” in Italy or the “paseo” in Spain?

Bonjour Diane. I hope you are well. I’m rewatching your posting on Angers. I’ll be visiting france this Sept/Oct for a month starting in Paris for a week, then to Saint Malo for 4 nights with a trip to Mount Saint Michael. I have about 9 open nights before I need to be in Issy-les-Moulineaux for 4 nights and then the Latin Quarter for a week before returning to the states. So I’m considering several nights in Angers and possibly a few in Nantes. This would be late September early October. Any suggestions you could share with me would be greatly appreciate. A bientôt …Josef.
Hi Diane, I've just stumbled on your video! Very beautiful city, I live in Paris, and know I am curious to visit Angers 🥰 Tel me 4 years have passed, do you still live there? Are the shops still closed on Sunday? What has Covid 19 changed in Angers ? Thank you so much for the great video! 👌🌺

Hi there Marina, I still live in the Angers area yes and many places are still closed on Sunday. Now many of the Covid restrictions have been lifted. Angers is in line with the rest of France in terms of current Covid best practices and rules. Definitely take a train ride out to visit Angers sometime. It's a great place! So happy you enjoyed the video.

You must have seen a lot of French cities and towns. What about Angers led you to choose Angers as your home base??? Thank you Diane. I enjoy your videos very much. I find Angers very welcoming from the videos I have seen. Hopefully we will relocate to France from California in the not too distant future.

Never been to Blois!
I helped ALOT of French people who need help in navigating in Manhattan .
I studied there for four months in spring 2019. Loved it but didn’t like my host mom.
Seems ok, really could use a strip mall and a bowling alley.
