Facebook Hackathon; Mark Zuckerberg showing what his team has built.
Hackathons are a big tradition at Facebook. They serve as the foundation for some great (and not so great) ideas. It gives our employees the opportunity to try out new ideas and collaborate with other people in a fun environment.
Mark Zuckerberg made a live video, showing what his team has made in Facebook Hackathon. He had Facebook Hackathon at his office.

People really underestimate what a great source of inspiration these videos are. To see creative people make something inspires and pushes others to do, to make and to create. Thank you for showing the world this creative process.
Mark always seems like a guy who's high, but trying to hide it and blend in.
it's really awesome to see some of these features have actually been implemented
This is really cool guys. Great work. Thanks to Mark and his team for putting out this platform for the interns.
I'm genuinely impressed with how many good ideas they came up!
Wowwww... definitely we will be looking forward to these existing innovations and the new ones in the near future. I love the integrated map where we could locate establishments, hotels, resorts in the area we plan to go or where we currently are. Also, I'm excited with you making FB app on phone a multi-tasker one, we love listening to music or a discussion video while browsing FB, writing a comment, making a post. And I want an associated app where we can hone the individual's creativity and skills in editing pictures, videos, inserting sounds and pictures allowed by FB. Thanks FB, you guys are amazing, always have an awesome work day! 💓

This is awesome!!!!
44:00 they should just make nlp group question detection with the option of anonymous poll. takes out qualtrics and makes it easier than manually typing options. instead just delete incorrect feature extraction with a poll edit
The pet profile would be cool to create a big library of pictures and videos of your pet. Then you could combine it with the Remembrance project and when you lose your pet you have their memory saved forever.
Interesting to see many of those ideas and features have been implemented on Facebook nowadays.
2nd idea is a good one 👍

@@youdontexist. well it's a social norm now, I dont mind it at all. Just imagine, you start a new job, you are meeting everyone and introducing yourself and make a small joke just to break the ice and everyone just stares at you, one girl says that joke was retarded... and they just go on with their work.. how would you feel ? of course white lies or whatever you call them exist for political correctness or decent social behaviour. It's been proven that people prefer to speak or open up to those who are friendly and smile as oppose to those who seem defensive and bored.. You gotta fake it to live in this world, there is no way around it. Prime example is Mark Zuckerberg the lizardman himself.

Based on Swedish law's and i'm guessing the states corporate laws doesn't differ to much i would say that because its a project purposely intended to develop new products the company don't need to compensate the developers in other ways then they're usual salary and in this case its mostly interns working on the products... in other cases where If an employee from a company develops a product by themselves that's linked to they're work and isn't something they have been told to research/work on it gives them the rights to the product and has to be compensated by the company for them to use it. generally this applies to patentable inventions and i'm not sure about all the rules regarding electronic apps but i would guess that something like this is highly likely to be patented. AND of course all of this can be regulated in the contract the intern and/or employee has to sign before they start working for the company. In pure profit thinking this is really genius.
How can we find subsequent Hackathons?
Mark's face looks like face swap anytime you watch him
