Face to Face With Jesus - Gary Wendt

On December 31st, 1975, in a rural New York farming community’s volunteer fire station, Gary and Jackie Wendt asked God for everything He had for them. He gave them a lifetime of His presence including a healing from an incurable, terminal illness, and ultimately a face to face meeting to reveal His intentions. Today, Gary Wendt shares those experiences with us, and how God led him and his wife Jackie into a life-changing relationship with Him.

I’m so thankful for this testimony from beginning to end. I found encouragement, strength, hope, and joy. I am 31 and a new believer and lover of Jesus, and hearing from someone who has been walking with God for decades is so powerful. I have learned a lot to take with me in my own walk and I am so thankful for this episode. Gary, thank you so much for sharing everything you opened up about. Jackie, how sweet your new forever home is with our loving Father in no pain or suffering. Thank you Lord for Your unending love and perfect plans on our lives. Thank you for your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Love watching the show. I was raised catholic but Jesus has never spoken to me. I pray to him every day and night but he has never talked to me. I m a good person have sin and made a lot of mistakes. I pray to him I know he's my lord and savior . I love him so much I have givin my life to him if I could see that my husband and family members are okay. I know he's a forgiving god but I don't think I'm in his circle of followers . I will always lov😢e him I'm trying to give him my heart but he never gives me a sign. God Bless out lord.

This is your blessing, that you do not hallucinate a devil. Remember christ even felt this way. And there is god in the afterlife paving your way. We aren't always suppose to feel happy because that too could be a dangerous thing.

Ask God to reveal himself to you in a mighty way. I've never seen anything, but I wouldn't want the responsibility of knowing what I should share. I believe that Jesus died overcame death and is in heaven, He sent the Holy Spirit to live in us, I've repented, I've asked to received the Holy Spirit, it was then that the Holy Spirit entered my heart. I felt him. I was transformed in a moment. I then got baptized in water. I also have been baptized with the power of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. This is a mighty prayer language. It gives you strength to live out your walk with Him. You can also worship and sing in the Spirit.

He will talk to you through the Word. The Bible...get into your Bible . As you read along or study He will let verses stand out to you. You might think Wow ! That's one way He will talk to you. Put Jesus & His Word first every day.

I was raised Catholic and thought I was saved. That even though I sinned, his blood covered me for the afterlife. Jesus was never there for me either. My entire life like you, I lost faith and wanted a sign. I regret asking for a sign. Don’t do it. It ruined my life and because of all the supernatural things I don’t love Jesus anymore and I can’t take it back because it was given to me. I got tired of people saying he wasn’t real too and atheists. Don’t do it! Just be good as you can and believe Jesus is real. Live your life best you can and don’t be sad or afraid.

Amen! I have been getting more way way more out of watching something like this than Christian tv! It is impacting me to hear individually the Lord working in others lives! It helps you to be grateful for them but also it makes me think closely to what God has done in my life. Hearing the emotions and seeing how it all fits together in their life. God is so good and he is an artist how it works through different situations in our lives and causes one thing to lead up to another..all to fit personally for us in our relationship with Him! Thank you Jesus!

God is real and we must have a relationship with him not only to know him. How you know if you’re having relationship is see miracles in your life almost daily. I could almost say every day you could see God’s finger’s prints in your life. Jesus also knows if we’re walking with him or not so if you’re not sure simply ask him. God convert me 11 years ago into Catholic and I’m still walking with him every day.😁🙏🏼

Thank you Mr. Wendt all of this touched me. The part towards the end about your wife and her being healed on earth or heaven.. that was touching as a child my mom was told she would be healed and never have cancer again. She was 32 when she passed away and as I have grown older vs a small kid thinking she hadn't got healed and it was a lie. I came to realize over the past 8 or 9 yrs that she did get healed just not in earthly terms. Thank you for sharing even the painful parts❤

What a great podcast. Just amazing his experiences with the Lord. I too have had my own experiences and I find that hearing others testimonies gives me comfort in a number of things. 1. It strengthens something I already know. That God is real and he loves me and you. 2. I'm not alone in experiences. I keep things to myself mostly because with the world full of non believers or luke warm believers my experiences would be chalked up to imagination, or lost my mind or that I'm lying. Really good interview and Im glad I watched. Thanks

I believe this story, I know one other prominent minister in Christ that was healed by watching Pat Robertson in the very same way on the same show And I myself was Born Again by watching Pat Robertson on the 700 club in 2010, he was quite elderly but believe me, I was born again that night when he led me through the ‘sinners prayer’ & he described my spiritual condition sitting watching him to a T. The next day I was totally transformed! ❤

You may receive healing or you may not. God’s will could go either way. Please consider Paul’s thorn in the flesh. It was not taken away. Paul was told, My grace is sufficient. Please also consider that some of the most powerful testimonies come from people who live out their lives with a crippling debility. My teacher from college had a stroke at 26 and was completely paralyzed on the right side. Nevertheless, he taught for years, witnessing to all of his students. He taught me several valuable life lessons that have served me for more than 40 years. The actual class I have largely forgotten. Continue to pray for healing, but make up your mind that you will serve Him and praise Him whether He heals you or not. Keep yourself open to His purposes.

I should add DON’T QUIT. God knows exactly where you are and He cares more than we can comprehend. In a test, isn’t the teacher always silent? Trust Him. Rarely do we know what He will bring us to. You might be giving a lifetime of testimony about how you emerged victoriously from a rough patch of life. You can give in, or you can let it grow your faith. Stand firm.
