I don't know about the photo of a person's face.... I'll have to test that out. I do know at least that I tested a baby doll, and it won't detect the doll's face. Also, yes, it does send alerts to your phone when, and who, enters.... and how they enter ie, facial recognition, fingerprint, smartcard, etc. Still testing out a lot of the app features and learning as I go. I might do up a video on that feature alone because for the prices, its pretty cool. :)
