Fantastic song by Dean, I bought the album this was on when it came out in the 60's, in fact I bought all of Dean's albums at the time. One of the greatest singers God ever put breath in.

Dino was the greatest of them all

I sang this song back in the 70’s in Monterey California at Fort Ord. Home of the 7th infantry division even though I was Bacy stationed at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey Ca. That also a army facility but all branches studies languages there. I’ll never forget a black army Sargent in Company B DLI Sargent Sterling J Meek who had a ornament on his desk said the Meek shall inherit the earth. We laughed at that often because that was his last name of course. He took me a 17 year old white boy under his wing he protected me like I were his own son. I loved him as a father. He knew I was there waiting to be discharged after what happened to me in the military. I shared with him when not sharing with my own family in Baltimore. I was so lucky to be alive still. He was a very special man. He was my 2nd dad.
