Face Down - Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (Lyrics & Song )

This is another one of my favorite songs, I decided to make this a lyric video, so all the lyrics are there, and I tried to get each part of the lyrics come up with that part in the song! ^^
Thanks for watching!

Gender doesn't matter. If someone hits you, you have every right to defend yourself. If one hits somebody, they should be prepared to be hit in return. Pain is felt no matter what gender you are.

My father was abused by my mom. She bloodied him up often and he never fought back because he was taught to never hit a girl. One day she threw a glass ashtray at his head and split his eyebrow area open and he started bleeding very badly. He finally for the first time in his life called the police on her. The police came and took his statement and hers. He told the truth, but my mom said that he was trying to rape her and she was defending herself. The police never planned to ask me or my siblings anything so we spoke up and said she was lying. Guess who went to jail? yup my dad. He was charged with numerous types of assault and is now a registered sex offender and wasn't allowed to see his own kids as they grew up. My mother beat us when he was taken away, because we told the police the truth. Women CAN be abusive and I would NEVER be like my dad. You hit me and regardless of gender...I will rearrange your god damned face.

That's horrible. I hate how men getting abused get overlooked because 'they should be able to take it'. No one, no matter what their gender is should ever hit anybody

Tom Anderson That makes me really f**kin' mad and I'm a girl btw. At least your dad WAS trying to be a gentleman but in the end it didn't work out very well and I'm sorry, I'm sure your dad would've been a good dad if he was that against violence if that makes you feel any better. I think your mom should be jailed 10 years minimum! >:(

Jelly Cubez She is living life well these days and my father is in and out of being homeless due to it being hard to find a job or a place to live that is okay with sex offenders/felons. Even though my brothers and sister are aware he is innocent, they are still ashamed to be seen with him. His life was ruined that night he called the police. Id like to mention also that even if my dad didn't believe in hitting women, he was still a skinny small guy while my mom was a fat giant. She could have taken him on regardless. Good people don't win in life. It's sad but true.

This is a great song for girls who are in an abusive relationship. These girls may not have the strength to leave right away but it doesn't mean that the opinions of loved ones don't cross their minds in the dark moments. I heard this song after I left my abuser. It was very motivational at that time for me.

Ladies, if a man hits you once, you leave him. Don't give him a second chance. Don't believe it when he says he didn't mean it. Don't believe it when he promises you he won't do it again. Because he will. And he's inevitably going to. Because once he realizes he has the power to lay even a finger on you, he knows he can do it again.

gema putra the comment is quite clear..people will give endless chances to a partner who abuses them in hopes it won't happen again or because they want to believe their partner is truly sorry. If it happens once, it will happen again so don't let it. Once that respect is lost, walk away because there's no getting it back

Dear Whoever Is Reading This, You're a beautiful person. You've made it this far in your life, you were one of the fastest, and you've made it through the complications of birth. You've lived your childhood, where you're so curious around the things around you, but so niaeve and vulnerable, anyone being able to easily grab you and end you right there. But that didn't happen. You're alive now, with some knowledge of how the world works. You've seen the dark things, the things that didn't quite click in your earlier stages, but they've always been there, and now they always will. Life may look dim and hopeless, but don't lose hope in this world. There's people out there, while they may not know you personally, will cheer you on until the end. Never lose hope, because if everyone were to stop believing, everything would be much worse. Problems in your everyday life, teachers, peers, bullies, work, bosses, relationships, hell, even your own family can change this look so easily. Why let everything you've built up so far, just fall right down? You gotta just stay strong in this horrid world, and keep it bright for everyone else out there. Everyone you love, everyone you COULD love. If you're contemplating suicide, don't. You're basically murdering. Not only yourself, but ANY HOPE for future generations. That's millions, no, much more that, lives all in your balance. Don't let ANYONE pull you down, because just remember, you're here for a reason. Else, why would you be looking through these eyes right now?

This song is so much like my last relationship. He would always push me, hit me, & would verbally abuse me, & one day when I was at his house he sat there and told me how much I ment to him & how much he loved me then a little more than 15 minutes later he mood changed and he started hitting me & I just got to sick of it & I stood up, punched him in the stomach & face then said "I don't need you "love" anymore" & that was the end of that (: I hope his current girlfriend doesn't go through that. Hopefully I taught him a little something.

There are a million reasons why someone might stay: They may feel they have no choice, either due to financial dependence, medical dependence, threats, either implicit or explicit, of harming either the victim, her family or friends, or of the abuser threatening themselves. Suicide threats such as "I'll have nothing to live for if you leave me" are common. In addition, the victim may just plain feel ashamed of coming forward, either out of not wanting to tell loved ones something they don't want to know or, in extreme cases, being accused of lying. To a certain extent, you are right: You can't force anyone out of an abusive relationship, and the victim has to take the initiative to get out themselves. But, outright dismissing the situation by saying, "It's her choice," isn't accurate. Abusive relationships are a trap; they wouldn't happen to often or last so long if they weren't.

You're not breathing right and using too much throat to force it. Try consciously taking in a deep breath, but have your diaphragm expand, pushing your stomach out. Use all the wind in there as power for your screams and try to keep your throat muscles as loose as possible.

The double standards I see on these comments just amuses me. "If a girl hits a guy, he deserves it. If a guy hits a girl, he's an idiot." My mother taught me that if a girl wants to hit like a man, she can get hit like a man. My brother took his girlfriend to a doctors appt a few weeks after she have birth to their daughter. He went to sign her in and she took the opportunity to go through his phone. She found something that she didn't like, so she put on a pair of brass knuckles and started swinging at him with their daughter in the car. So what does he do? Knocks her to the ground, takes his daughter, and calls for a ride home. Or how about the time an ex of mine started an argument with me, then took my pocket knife and attempted to drive the blade into my chest. I didn't hit her, but I took the knife and held her arms behind her back and requested that she calm down so we can talk. Guys are the only ones that can be violent? If you think that, fuck you.

  • @crazyangel865

i agree with your opinion mostly, although most of the time the situation can be handled without hitting. if a woman gets that violent she needs to to where to pick her fights. However as the song references a man should NEVER hit a woman without a really good reason and that's only in cases like you said.

Thehourglass100 If someone is hitting you repeatedly and you hit them back it doesn't necessarily have to be out of anger, it's defending yourself. No matter how little damage the girls punches are dealing, she still doesn't have the right to hit someone and not be hit back. Although in most cases, a guy could just simply hold the girl down, he should still defend himself in some way.

Not sure if people still read comments here, but for you guys. It doesn't matter if you like the girl or not, but if you see this happening or know of it, you take a stand. Even if you get hurt in the end, don't be afraid. Be the right person. Take that stand and face him, tell him never to do it again and take the matters into your own hands. If she asks or tries to stop you, you make sure to tell her that this is wrong and she knows it and you are giving her the the chance to leave. Don't stand by on these matters. This is from experience. If I didn't stand up like I did, I wouldn't have my fiance right now. Be that man, take the chance, change her life.

The things we put up with for our child's best interest and well-being over our own. I will forever fake a smile and deal with the side effects. A real man never hits a woman. EVER. End of story. What pisses me off more is that it's so hard to tell the women being abused they deserve better because they start believing the abuse is their fault! Then you can't even beat the guy up because then you're charged for assault! It sickens me.. and it pisses me off more when it's ignored.
