Thank you. I will be playing with my fabric again.!!!
New quilter, I am sooo happy to have stumbled on your channel !! Words cannot express how much you have opened my heart to the world of quilting and art !!!!! It is like being a child again waiting for your next video !!!!!
Thank you Macky. This is a new way, for me, to make unique fabrics. In Alberta, Canada we need good insulative materials for a great part of the year. How nice a vest would be!
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!❤
This is exactly what’s I’ve been looking for! I love how you describe stitch length and threads used! I hope we can see closer view of your beautiful work. Thank you!
First time I have watched and enjoyed it. I'm just learning to sew
Hi Mackey great to be able to visit you again - thank for sharing over the years you are such a wonderful “teacher” and quilter
Much luck with your channel. Tip from my pin weaving work: if you lay lightweight fusible interfacing glue side up for your underlayment, you can press it all into place and it won't shift during stitching...

Wonderful fabrics to weave! 💗 Good tips for doing the stitching. Tfs 🇨🇦🙂
A closeup of the sewing part would have helped tremendously. Love this new technique .😁💖
Thank you! So interesting and what a wonderful artistic project. I can’t wait to try this with my scrap strips. I can’t imagine all the thread colors that I will be able to use.

Hello Miss Cilliers, I’m so happy I found your channel. I searched for Fabric cards and came across your Fabric weaving when I scrolled down, I love love the colors and the fun fabrics you used to make all your weaving designs. I completely forgot I wanted to make cards for the Holidays lol I dug out all my happy color fabrics along with all my busy design fabric and I’m going to have some fun, I only wish I had a fancier machine with the free motion quilting foot then omg I would not sleep I would create create create. Again thank you for being so creative and I’m looking forward to seeing more videos soon. Have a BLESSED Day LJF

I am very excited about trying this fabric weaving too. So glad I found this channel tonight. I will try it tomorrow but I wanted to let you know that you do not need a formal open-toe free-motion foot (sometimes called a darning foot) for your machine to do this kind of free-motion work. It is great but I used to teach free-motion embroidery and know there is a jumping spring that works with any machine. It is inexpensive and looks kind of weird but is a very good substitute for a formal foot. I got mine from a Bernina dealer. It will give you the freedom to try this with any machine now, fancy or not. Have fun!
Oh..... I’m on my third piece . I LoVE your video’s. Please do the on the next level you mention in this video🤗
I like the idea of the weaving. It might have been good to show the back of the piece after doing you different stitches (easier to see the stitching) , and show it close up. Thank you. I'll look for more.

Muito bonito. Parabéns
I might try it :)
That looks very interesting! I would’ve loved to see a close-up of the end result. I wanted to check out your blog but the link does not work unfortunately.
Very interesting
Hello Macky, I just happened upon your channel and I am absolutely hooked! Your work is so stunning and interesting. I would love to add your weave borders to a quilt. Would you maybe consider showing us how you add your weaved border on a quilt? Is there a certain woven strip length that you create or recommend before sewing together? Thank you for sharing your beautiful work and techniques. 😊

Yes please, me too - and thank you. 😊 From Denmark.
Just found you! I’ll watch more
Because you have a Bernina...do you ever use the Bernina Stitch Regulator with feed dogs down, so that the free motion zig zag stitches don't have that "pulled" out stitch look when u come to the points of the zig, etc or do the turns or curves? thanks for the weaving tutorial.
I'm excited to try my first project. How do you finish the edges for a framed art piece?
What do you use these creations for, or are they more of a learning of the various machine stitches?
Can you put them together to form blocks?
When I make a lattice crust on pie I use the traditional method of folding back the odd strips halfway, lay down the cross stop, unfold the odd strips, fold up the even strips halfway, lay down a cross strip, unfold, and repeat. Then I rotate the pie 180* and finish the other side. Would the same technique work with the cloth? It seems it would be quicker and easier.
I love what you are doing but how do you use the pieces after you are finished?
Do you do all your blocks with free motion etc. Then make your rows, sometimes? For making your quilts?
Thanks Macky. What was the measurement of fabric to start. Can one use larger pieces?

8” x 10” Foundation fabric.
Very interesting. What do you do with the finished pieces? Frame, stretch, add to more squares?

I've made placemats
Why not use a zigzag or decorative stitch to catch both sides?
Everyone starts somewhere. Would have liked to see stitching up close, couldn’t hear you at all while you were stitching so missed most of the instruction after that. But appreciate the effort and inspiration. Good luck.
While I can appreciate all that went into making the video and the effort you put into the piece, I've just got to say, the finished piece is just a... complete mess.

Lol. I felt like that yesterday after.watching someone make trousers. I was baffled by the endless adulation in the comments. I like this woven fabric though.
why do people who have a BERNINA. sewing machine ALWAYS say MY BERNINA It drives me nuts seriously. It is a ridiculously expensive machine and it has become a status symbol, like really? so silly , just a show off thing for goodness sake.
