    Thank you as always for the good tutorial and pattern. It also might be a good size for a rosary pouch. Or also for something to carry anything in that could get lost in the bottom of a purse such as cough drops or an extra key.

    You’re a fantastic teacher! Could you clarify...Is the length 7-1/2 (your written instructions) or 10-1/2 inches (in the narrative)?

  • @karenm7260

    @karenm7260

    4 жыл бұрын

    This is the same question I was going to ask. Then I did some math. If it were 7 1/2 in length, allowing for 1/4 seam times 2 that would leave 7 inches and half of that is 3 1/2 which is what she was saying to fold the bottom up. Essentially at 7 1/2 you would be folding it in half which wouldn't be correct. The length should be 10 1/2.

    Karen M Agree. I wish she would correct the written measurements at 0:35 and 0:53 seconds.

    @@margytorres4191 Hopefully others will catch the error and look through comments to see if anyone has asked and received back clarification. I didn't catch it the first time. Only after I was ready to put one together did I catch it. I usually go by what shows on the screen because it is so visual, over what may be said in narrative. Also hope she sees your comment and request to clarify. Thanks for catching it!

    How do we do this using directional fabric like you did for the HO HO HO fabric? I have directional shark fabric I'd like to use for these.

    Hi Bbymks. Cut a piece of paper the same size you would cut the fabric for the card envelope. Then fold it like an envelope, and place it on top of the fabric in the direction you want the print to go. Open the paper so that you can see which way to cut the fabric. Hope this helps. Glad you liked the fabric gift card envelope tutorial. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍

    @TheSewingRoomChannel I made this project unbelievably harder than it needed to be 🤦🏼‍♀️ I cut my shark fabric a bit longer than it needed to be. Then I pulled up the bottom to the height I wanted and cut it, flipped it upside down and pinned it where I cut it. Then I took the top and turned it down, cut it, turned it around, pinned it. Then I did the sewing of the cut pieces. Then I cut my lining and continued on. Good grief. I'm so very brand new and it shows.

    I love this but have a question. I’m a little confused about the iron on interfacing, across your screen it says to cut it 6 3/4 x 7 1/2 but the fabric is 6 3/4 x 10 1/2 and it looks like in your video you did actually cut it the length of the piece of fabric. So is that what I actually do…cut the fusible interfacing the size of the fabric piece? Thank you!

  • @TheSewingRoomChannel

    @TheSewingRoomChannel

    Hi Aunt Dee. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. The fusible interfacing should be cut 6 3/4" X 7 1/2". If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to leave a comment. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍

    No. I made a sample one and money didn’t fit. You need to add at least another 1/2” to 3/4” So the measurements should be 10-1/2”x7-1/2”
