I just wanted to sincerely say thank you to everyone who checked out the video, whether you like the game or not. I never expected this silly thing to get the kind of attention it has. I'll do my best to put out more videos like this moving forward. The encouragement that I've received to continue means a great deal. The game has also some problems with balance. Like 30Silver Keys chest doesnt give you the best/one af the best weapons. Magic is not balanced. Combat gets repetative pretty fast even tho the game is already short. Some mechanics like aging after upgrading are questionable etc.

14:20 You can save all the traders by leaving them to rest at the camp halfway through Darkwood, then return and have them follow once the Rock Troll is defeated - you can sprint right through from the camp once everything is dead, and all traders will appear unharmed in Barrow Fields.

The childhood sequence is underrated. You can get 6 gold in total (i think) if you decide to do both good and evil deeds. 1 for the cheater, 1 for his wife, 1 for smashing the crates, 1 for getting back to the correct spot before the guy returns, 1 for beating up the bully or the kid (i dont think you can do both) and 1 for bringing rosie back to the little girl
I enjoy the prison part for what it does for the lore. I like how it’s a turning point for the game’s lore and adds to your character’s legend, I know the part is repetitive but I see it as a sort of exposition, your character is incredibly powerful and having an adversity you can’t just easily overcome with magic or weapons is a cool concept.

You can get the sword in the stone much earlier, first time you're there, you just need a specific amount in each attribute, like a code.
Of all the times I have played this game (and I've played it a lot) I have never used assassin's rush. Let alone against Whisper. After all these years, I'm still learning new things about this game.
@Beelz55
10 ай бұрын
It's a very broken skill in multiple ways. One of the biggest exploits I forgot to show in the video involves the it. You can use Summon to call out a minion (preferably the wasp), but if you summon it while up against some doors, the wasp is stuck half way inside, so you can asassin rush the wasp, and go through the door/wall and sequence break some events. Like getting into Twinblades Camp without needing to do any of the tasks. The biggest exploit is doing the same trick in the chamber of fate. You can actually assassin rush to your wasp and fall underneath the chamber and grab the Sword of Aeons, which is stored there throughout the game. Teleport out and BAM you've got the super OP sword from the very beginning.
49:30 Hey it's me the contrarian guy! I've always liked the prison section. I'm not gonna pretend doing the same race twice is not dumb and none of it is really interesting gameplay wise but I just love the atmosphere and how it stands out a bit without being (imo) too long. The prison is always one of the highlights of my Fable playthroughs
My intro to WRPGs and still my favorite. Lots of fun things to discover (and different ways to discover them), a world that reacts to your character's appearance as well as their deeds, an amazing soundtrack, charm, a sense of wonder, goofy interactions... many games today still don't do everything Fable does.

Bruh what, it's just an action RPG. Shit, it was disappointing to many who had even played something like Morrowind years earlier because Fable was sooooo much more restrictive. Morrowind was a literal open world and Fable just had small individual levels. Something like Kingdoms of Amalur was very similar. Even a game like Witcher 3 isn't fundamentally different beyond having a true open world and a good dialogue system. Notice all the comments about loving this game as a kid. This was the first RPG a lot of y'all played as console gamers and it stuck with you, I get it, but there was a whole wide world of RPGs released before that. Not to mention that if you were young at the time you didn't know about the pre-release hype and subsequent drama due to how many features weren't in the final game that Peter Molyneux spent years hyping up beforehand. It's like a weird sort of historical revisionism where the people who care the most about Fable now and talk about it weren't old enough to truly understand the larger context of its release.
@RyanKaufman

@@Sazed0 I started with Ultima and Daggerfall, and you hyper fixated on the more generic side of Fable. KoA and Witcher both have more conventional WoW fantasy and East Euro Fantasy settings respectively. Fable has more Le Morte d'Arthur meets Phantastes settings and has a significantly extensive (some argue overwritten) lore. If you don't like it you don't like it. You don't have to like it but spare me the "anyone who likes this was a kid" because that's just condescending as fuck.

If you bring the wasp summon to the Chamber of Fate (where the first big fight v Jack happens), place the summon just right and assassin rush into it, you'll clip under the stairs and get the Sword of Aeons less than 1 hour in. Kinda funny that Jack stops you in the prison, sees you got the sword he wants, but ignores it.

I did this for a magic only character I did a while back. Having the mana aug early made it a lot smoother. Fable is one of my all-time favorite games! I'm in a group on Facebook that I started with a friend of mine called Fable cut content. We actually got in contact with one of the original lead developers and he gave my friend a big booklet of ideas they'd had to implement. There were actually crafting mechanics as well as the use of shields and a bunch of other cut quests. Some of which were added back in for the lost chapters but if this game it had another 6 months to a year of development it would have looked very different and for the better
