Fabrice, your rendition is beyond beautiful. It is so moving and heartfelt. Also your voice in the acapella parts is gorgeous, with perfect Hebrew. I am going to listen to this forever. You are a truly gifted singer. The Hebrew poem in this song talks about how the doors of God are open, even when the doors of the powerful are not. Madonna heard it during a jewish ceremony in a synagogue. In the Jewish new year Jews remember the obedience of Isaac and their flee from Egypt, during a special ceremony for listening to the shofar. In the times of Moses, when jews got tired, the leaders would play the shofar to awaken their stamina and hope. So that is their wish for the new year ahead. This song is very meaningful to me, and now even more so. It is about hope in times of struggle. Thanksssssss.
