Awesome review. For such a small channel this video was very high quality. Also gld you made a video on this chasis as there are not that many out there on it. Thanks for the great video.

Thank you for the compliment. Would you like to see a video detailing the FAB Defense Scout conversion kit on its own? I only have one conversion kit, so any references I would make to others would be purely from research and not experienced use.

I have been using a Glock SBR for going on 5 years now. I used the Micro Roni for about 1 year, and found it would not hold zero on the red dot and the gun would get very dirty and if you went larping about, the heat would not dissipate, the slide would starting cooking. I sold it and went with the Fab defense Cobra stock, and added the same VFG you have on the Scout. Super Light, fast and accurate, and no problems with holding zero because the dot is on the slide. I used this set up for a long time but after time the stock loosened up at the pivot point and it would not stay rigid when shooting. I know use the Recover tactical 20/20 with a stock and BCM VFG. Light, sturdy, and very fast accurate shooting! This would be the perfect platform if the length of pull was another inch and the dot could be raised about 1/2 inch. Does the Scout have the same issue with heat and dirt? How many times have you removed the gun and replaced it to determine the holding zero?

I store my Glock 17 outside of the Scout, so they have been put together and taken apart many times. So far no issues. Everything always feels tight and secure. No issues with zero either. As for cleaning, carbon collects mostly along the side of the Scout where the spent casings are ejected. Also inside the Scout where from pistol is secured and forward of the barrel. My Glock also gets dirty from the trigger guard forward. It has not been to hard to clean so far. With regards to dirt and debris, it depends on the environment you are shooting in. Where I live, it is only legal to use this setup at the range. In this environment I have had no problems with excessive dirt and debris. I never tried the Cobra stock, looks cool though. I do see what you mean about the Recover Tactical 20/20 having a short length of pull. There is approximately 2 1/2 inches from the back of the VFG to the front of the trigger guard. So you get a much better length of pull with the Scout. As for heat, I have never had an issue with extreme heat. On the day of filming the shooting part of the review it was above 30 Celsius, and I fired over 300 rounds in about an hour. The Scout and Glock were warm, but not burning hot. I hope these answers help. If you have more questions just ask! Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and responding! I really appreciate it!

Does applying pressure on the pistol grip cause zero drift? I’ve been running a Recover 2020 chassis and noticed serious zero deflection when using their chassis optic mounts and applying any sort of pressure to the handgun grip, forcing me to mount the optic to the slide.

Is this set considered an SBR (Short Barreled Rifle) in the USA, thus requiring the applicable Tax Stamp?

I bought one..didnt shoot straight...got a replacement from the dealer...same issue. it shoots low and right, too far to adjust the red dot. tested both a Glock19 and Glock17. dealer says something is wrong but just want me to return the chassis and claims it is within spec. anyone know anyone else had this problem? bad batch?

Thanks for watching my video! That sucks!! I did not notice that type of deviation with mine. Maybe a bad run of conversion kits? Still, it is allot of money to spend and have that issue. Very disappointing. CHEERS!

think itll work with an advantage arms .22 slide kit?

  • @themaplegunner

As long as the dimensions of the slide kit match the OEM slide. The charging handle just grabs the front of the slide. So there should not be any issues. The KPOS Scout does not rely on force from the direct blowback of the slide to work. Thanks for watching and commenting on my video! CHEERS!

Why? A brace for a pistol? Whats the point? I bought into to this niche concept a while ago and regretted it immediately after I tried it… don’t waste your money unless you enjoy weird pistol carbines. Pistol brace drop ins are awkward to shoot, I honestly felt goofy shooting one. Feels really unbalanced, the only reason I can see someone needing one is if your running magazine drum mags….
