10 years later and this is, in my opinion, one of the best demonstrations of dlg launch out there! Fantastic, you still flying dlg's

Great technique and video. I watch the launch frame by frame. You take a really wide stance before unwinding. I've learning more from this video than if I was there in person. If anyone deserves high frame rate slow motion video, it is you. Thanks for your efforts. My highest launch today.......58' !!!............from which I caught a thermal.

Very good, most helpful, I’m watching as much as I can before investing in a glider, 40 years powered model pilot, this is the most exiting next step, many thanks.

When you actually throw at the end of the video, you add a couple more steps before the hop.

Great video, thanks for teaching. I flew my first DLG flight (ever) today and ended up with broken fuselage =( . Sometimes it gets inverted when launch. I wonder, sir, how many DLG's have you already broken since day one before getting to be this good?

Skip miller also has some great dlg's. I'm just starting I'm flying a dream flight libelle it reads lift very well and climbs in the smallest lift of thermals but lacks penetration to fly upwind. Great video by the way learning to launch is very difficult its all about form and fallow through like a golf swing I'm still learning and hope to get a molded f3k bird soon.

Hi, Use a preset in the elevator so it has some up in it. Tune the elevator in both phases (rotation and vertical) so it gives you the trajectory you want.

Tanks Marcus, I'm new in DLG and in my first launches I think I've reached only 30 meters hight.

Hi Marcus, I had my first goes at DLG today :-) I love it! When I throw my plane straight it doesn't go up by itself and I always have to pull the elevator to make it gain height. Should the plane go up just by the ailerons or do you have some elevator in the launch mode as well? I have a Blaster 3

Hi Paul, You can get an MX-20 and all the accessories through Modelflight. You will find them on Google in South Australia and they have an excellent postal system all over the world
