Gotta say this is a great install vid and I think I learned enough to uninstall these on the truck I got a couple years ago and put 5k on that the turn signal diode went to heaven on, so I gotta pull the head light assy to access the diode which went out purty fast imho but oh well... I prefer the brightness of these, I do get high beamed a good bit, maybe going to point them down a bit more now that I am messing with them. I have a '97, too, and it is dim as heck. I just replaced wiring harness for headlights in an '85 and that made it bright again, rather than noticeably dim... copper corrodes or oxidizes or something over time and it loses it's power transfer.. new wiring harness might be ok, took about 5m to unplug and leave the old and add the new in my VW, for ~$50. Going to search for the wiring for a '97 f250 now.

I had to laugh when you said you had to butcher it then you showed your beautiful modification that looked amazing! One thing that you are educating people about is that if you are going to use aftermarket parts you should be ready to do some modifications as very few things fit perfectly. Awesome Job!

Excellent cautionary note for those of us considering aftermarket replacements for our old headlights. You did a great job making yours work despite the travails. Thanks for sharing!

What a difference! When you first showed the new headlight, I thought it looked pretty good. Once it was on the truck it looks like when cartoons want to characterize slowness or having been kicked in the head by a horse

I'm going through the same thing what you went through. I bought some headlights off of Amazon and it said it fits my truck F350 super duty 2004

I take it the stock headlights wont fit after you modify/cut the brackets?

I think they will still fit, you are basically just making it more roomy behind the headlights.
