He is using the arcade flight model (you can change that in the options)

Looks like they've patched the roll rate so it's not as twitchy. I've got a second vid on the channel showing it...but the jet pulls 11+g now so theres that.

I have noticed that as well.... also in the hornet. When you pull heavy G's you should lose airspeed but MSFS doesn't seem to model that in these airframes.

Nice flying but something tells me that the F-14 would NEVER fly THAT stable.

I've flown through canyons in DCS and no, tomcats are no where near this stable. If you don't know how to control the plane, you will lose it into the mountain side which is very easy to do.

Flight model has since been updated. But it's still not perfect imo. The roll rate is a little smoother though so it's not as janky.

Couldn't tell you. I download planes from the in game store usually and it takes care of the rest. I got this f14 from there. The only plane I got from outside was the tms f22 and that came with an installer.

Just out of curiosity - would this be allowed in real life to do ( obviously not in a military fighter jet, but maybe a single or double prop plane) according to FAA rules? Or would you get slapped with handcuffs as soon as you land and the authorities knew.

From what I can read the whole river area is no flight below 8k, 14,5k and 18k feet thoughout that area. So yeah, illegal.

You mean afterburners? It should just go on at 100% throttle. I don't think it needs to be activated on the f14. I'm also using an Xbox controller so not sure why it's not working for you.

The flight model here doesn't seem realistic , It perform better than actual F-14. DCS is got it right That's my jam. But what I'm more interested here is the train . very nice environment. I want to fly into this canyons with DCS flight model .

Imagine being a hiker and all of a sudden you see an F-14 flyby going Mach 1, and they're at a lower altitude than YOU. Also a couple of moments i thought for sure you'd be splattered on the canyon wall. How many F-14s did you lose practicing all this?

Parts of the Canyon look bad regardless as they haven't been shown any love and are unoptimized. Even with high settings you will visually notice it.

Dude, I have both this game and jet, and while yes she is a fast girl, is not remotely that responsive or that quick to adapt. All gauge readings and those ailerons flickering like insect wings alone say this has a sim rate increase on; cannot be a video speed increase since audio pitches are correct. Regardless, I say again, you flew it well

I appreciate the compliment, but this is 1x. The plane was just glitchy a few patches ago. I never mess with the sim rate feature in this game. A few other players online run this same route and they've done it even faster in this same jet. Can't explain why the plane looks how it does. That's dc designs thing.

Just looked up what that was. It even includes a section of the grand canyon in the game that's part of this route. That's pretty crazy. Never heard of that game before.

No, you have to cut throttle and use the brakes on a lot of turns. Check on the bottom left and you can see the throttle positions.
