It’s a testament to the safety afforded him by the tub and roll bar structures in the cars he’s driven. In the early 70s a guy like him wouldn’t survive the lower formulas, and if he did somehow make to f1 he would most certainly have perished in a ball of fire

That's called stigma. In reality, he's inconsistent but still fast. Qualifying has always been his achilles heel but he does, consistently, rake in 3-5 overtakes in the opening 2 laps. He also does very well in wet weather conditions which we all know is where driver skills are amplified. He has 4 podiums (could've been 5 without the late-race tire blowout at the 2020 Tuscany GP and gifting Ricciardo his 2nd podium that season with Renault) and another 4 - 4th place finishes.. Most of these accomplishments were done in wet conditions. Don't buy into the hate train... Most are just jealous and envy him and so they turn a blind eye to all his good drives and pull up a magnifying glass + microphone over any minor error he makes. He isn't Mazepin, he's a solid 12-15th best of the grid but people see him as a 19-20th driver which is just simply false.

Stroll is not good i n wet weather just beacuase he has had 1 or 2 good performances in the rain does not mean he is one of the best on rain. Another thing that i feel is the reason why people hate Stroll is beacuase he never takes any blame even when there is no question on who's fault is was. Look at Monaco this week. All he had to do was keep it on the road. Alonso held everyone up so he would get a free pitstop. He couldn't even maintain that. Most of his accidents are a result of him not paying attention to what is around himself. He clearly does not belong in F1 and someone will pay a heavy cost one day.
