It is great to see some old footage of F1 cars, drivers, crews and in the pit area. These were the days the race fans could get up close to the cars and drivers that is not possible these days. Sure was a great shame Ronnie was not able to win the race at Anderstorp, but as they say, that's racing. It doesn't take much to end a perfect day in any type of motor racing.

0:10 - Anderstorp was an interesting track, with the runway being used for the back straight. A key feature were long constant radius corners which were slightly banked, which meant finding a good setup was difficult but crucial to fast lap times.

Ronnie Peterson often drove his cars with quite large skidding, in F3, F2 and in F1 and the audience loved to see him drive this way. I think today's audience would like if the car skids a bit in some curves. The F1 cars today have many G-forces in the curves, drive without skidding, if they skidding they often go off the track. If it goes at a slightly lower speed (poorer grip in the tires, less downforce) and the drivers can drive with a small skid in some curves, I think would be appreciated by the spectators. Safety is so much better today than before, it must always be at a high level to protect drivers and the public. When the V6 with turbo come to F1, they sounded like vacuum cleaners, a microphone was mounted on the car so that the sound could be heard for the TV viewers, the live audience was without that sound, is it real racing? F1 + awesome engine noise belongs together! In a few years, most passenger cars will probably be fully electric, without a hybrid engine. F1 often wants to follow the car industry when it comes to engines & fuel, so it may be a hybrid-free fast F1 car with a strong electric motor without sound, 10 more buttons on the steering wheel + 20 more engineers to help the driver drive the car in the best way. In 2004/2005, the V10 cars set a lap record on most tracks, the record stood for many years, at Monza Juan Pablo Montoya held the record for 14 years! The cars were not equipped with soft sticky slicks but with grooved tires to make the attachment to the asphalt lower, despite that, they were so incredibly fast, it would be wonderful to see and hear similar monster cars again! To hear an F1 on full throttle with a big strong engine is music, wish many younger people would be able to experience this live! George Russell often fought at the bottom, (he is a very good driver), when he borrowed Hamilton's car he was right at the top and fought for the victory in the race, Hamilton is one of the best of all time, would be interesting if they could meet in identical cars! There should be a royal class for formula cars where the best drivers in the world participate, where they can drive equivalent cars, call it F1 or something else. If today's drivers got more equal cars, racing would be raised to a much higher level, today F1 is further from ever being a racing class on equal terms! A strong suction motor of 3L without turbo V8, V10, V12, boxer 12, that rotates 9000v to 19000v, (bring hearing protection) keep power steering, gear paddles, remove most buttons on the steering wheel, a small fixed front spoiler with adjustment in the pit area, a fixed rear spoiler with adjustment in the pit area, allow refueling again, today there is a lot of talk about tires, tires, tires, the TV commentator talks in all practice about tires, tires, tires, soft, medium, hard and again tires, tires, tires before and during Q1, Q2, Q3, before and during the race it is tires again that are most talked about. Allow smaller number of tire choices and longer tire life with less grip, only soft, hard, rain tires, (or only black and rain tires), drop the tire heaters (equal for everyone). Today it should be saved on tires and fuel, is it racing? The F1 circus should be able to survive in its coolest design with V8, V10, V12, boxer 12 engines, the lack of these engines + that it is often one and the same team and driver who wins year after year after year, that is perhaps why the audience interest has decreased so much as it has done. The competition tracks mean a lot for exciting races, a good track should have level differences, long straight distances, sharp wide curves for more track choices. Brazil, Belgium, Portugal, USA + anyone else are beautiful courses. Flat tracks in the desert are often boring. The worst tracks are those with curves like an S with an ideal track that makes it difficult to make a overtaking, drivers often wait until the next pit stop (save tires & fuel). Some F1 tracks are like a large parking lot where the track markings are only painted, where drivers can sometimes save time by driving outside the lines. There must be a sharp contrast between the track and the area outside the track (sand, grass or a wall) so the driver always loses time if he does not drive on the track. F1 should look at IndyCar, in IndyCar they only have hard, soft + rain tires, refueling, no power steering they often manage to make the race exciting and with different winners in the races, they have more equivalent cars that mean a lot and there will be more overtaking in their race, it is seen often which driver is the best driver, not just the best car. IndyCar had in 2020 7 pcs. different winners of 14 races. MotoGP is also a top class, with tough dueling between the drivers in all races and many overtaking during a race. In 2020 there were 9 pcs different winners of 14 races. It's real racing! WRC is also a top class, there drivers do not save on tires and fuel! It's real racing! Sprintcar racing is also a top class, there drivers do not save on tires and fuel! It’s real racing!

Jeg vil tro at et slikt kamera ikke var billig i 1973... Det er rart å tenke på at man kjørte F1 i Småland i perioden 1973-1978. Veldig synd ikke Ronnie vant der en gang, men han var den moralske seierherren i 1973.

Hi d swank I edited in music from about the same era as the film and the images are from. After all, we have different tastes in music. On the film there is a section with silence "12:15 to 14:15", there was Imagine with John Lennon. KZread notified me that my video was banned from being shown in Denmark if that music was included. So the choice was easy, I removed the music because I want motor enthusiasts in my neighboring country to be able to see my film "many Danish people came to Anderstorp during the 6 years F1 was run there". I am not allowed to edit the movie with my own new music in the deleted section. Have a good day. Roger

Scandal to call 3 laps after safety car for a race (F1 at Spa 29/8 2021). The F1 management would have canceled the race when everyone knew that there would be no race due to the rain. No points would have been awarded when there was no race. In F1 today it's all about money, there must be very greedy people in the F1 management who do not care about the audience, think of all the people who came to the track, who stood for hours in the rain, all the millions of TV viewers who were also cheated. Interest in F1 is unlikely to increase after a similarly exciting race. Very bad advertising for F1 racing! I do not think that in the IndyCar series would have waited for 3-4 hours, driven 3 laps after a safety car and then red-flagged the race and classified it as a race! Probably they would have canceled the race that day if it had rained like at Spa and then run a real race another day, so the F1 management would have done, if there is no new date available. drop the race completely and do not call it a race !!!

The soundtrack choices are, in the least, confusing...
