Maybe due to software limitation and the way the devs model the car and the barriers are the reasons why they cant make it so realistic. Because even in Roblox we can make realistic deformable tyre barriers and realistic crash damage

In any case, it's still very realistic. It would be even more so if codemasters improve the crashes of the game. One thing that I’ve noticed it has a tech pro barriers move a little bit but the tire barriers don’t usually because they have a sponsor on them

I think they need to make the damage and spinning mechanics more realistic and the tyre barriers should be squishy not made out of concrete as when you hit them they just move a little whereas it would be better if they absorbed the car

The wheel-to-wheel contact is far from realistic. It definitely made the Albon Magnussen crash hard to replicate.

Idk if this guy tried to hard to make them realistic but this video talks very good about the physics of the game
