I’m sorry, but 6 seconds faster? That’s incredible on a very short lap

@@thegooddriver27 Don't be delusional. Slick tyres don't make up 6 seconds. The 2003 cars also had traction control whereas modern ones don't. And they had far less downforce in 2003 as well. The modern cars are by far faster.

@@thegooddriver27 If the 2004 car was made today, then it wouldn't be a 2004 car. In the same way that if a Mercedes W11 had V10 engine and traction control, it wouldn't be a Mercedes W11, so that's a bad argument. The Mercedes W11 is seconds faster than the F2004. It's the fastest F1 car of all time. There's no getting around that.

@@thegooddriver27 A lot more goes into an F1 car than just tyres and aerodynamics. There's wheelbase, brakes, cooling, suspension, engine power, efficiency, etc. Everything combined is what makes the modern cars that much faster than 2016 cars. Not just larger tyres and wings

@@JustSomeGuyWithNoMaidens the thing is tho TC is almost always slower due to it limiting the driver with the advantage of consistency. The power units weigh way too much now and are way too expensive. Despite les engine changes in a season teams are still spending just as much on power units. The modern car obviously has much faster tyres, much higher/efficient aero and 16 years of development into them. If f1 can get a 100% carbon neutral fuel or maybe hydrogen combustion, I think we should be looking to further develop the v10 technology rather than pursuing further electrification.

2019 cars are obviously faster, but we can't forget that the refuelling rules meant that the pole laps were completed with the fuel drivers were going to start the race with.

Not only that one of the most important things in f1 are the tires look the 2003, no slick and smallers, 2019 bigger and slicks.
