This was definitely one of the most fun and thrilling times I had playing any video game. Some of my unconventional picks were to challenge myself and make the races closer on courses I'm very good at (Half Pipe and Spiral in particular). The split screen view was particularly tough on both Sand Ocean courses for me. I think I dealt with it well otherwise. Buuuut next time, I propose disabling the pause button from Naegleria's controller. Both times he raged paused was at a super crucial moment for me. I lost out on a lot of speed and it potentially could have made me go off course both times. >:( Hope we can do this again next year!

You were nuts in this run! And yes, Naegleria was pausing a lot! I loved this epic challenge! Hopefuly, I will join you later... and yes, you were doing crazy stuff in Half Pipe

This game is basically the Super Smash Bros Melee of racing games.

I see where you're coming from, you mean like technical and speed right? I think Kirby Air Ride is the melee racing equivalent. It has the same creator, same production, similar menu and sounds. Similar concept in it can be simple and easy to play, and yet it can be challenging to master and play at a high level. It even has the same functions when it comes to changing colors with X and Y.

naah Mario Kart Double Dash, is the racing equivalent of Super Smash Bros. it's just all over the place especially in the LAN mode with 8 players

the multiplayer mode in this game is so much fun, it gets so competitive so quickly

Would have loved to have some recordings of the voices during this, but, oh well. Looked like a lot of fun.

really cool races. Quite funny that you still wanted to go for super suicides, that are not possible in multiplayer, because the machines are not bouncing of. I also had some funny races with Daniel and astro, but we also did some Snaking ... and btw. Daniel is a Beast on SOLS.

I would have loved to see some super suicides in this VS. This was the nuttiest Multiplayer I've ever seen. Congrats for this!

@@ZewingFZCIt's weird, from the video it didn't look like he was quite onto your butt when you were hit - but I guess that's possibly frame lag on the video?

Is running into the side of the track before you cross the finish line on the third lap a necessary game function, or something you did just for fun? (just curious because I have only now started to look back at this game after so many years of forgetting about it)

TN Cyclops There's a glitch or exploit where the vehicle gains crazy speed when facing the guard rail and boosting into it. It takes a lot of energy and after releasing from the rail, you have to start back from a low speed, so it's best to do it on the final lap, where health and what happens to you after you cross the finish line doesn't matter.

@@Ashura53 Kind of, but not exactly. This technique is called Momentum Turbo Rail Slide (MTRS), to do it, just do an MTS against the guard rails
