TR953 It seems NSMB is the exception, since it's such a moneymaker. Either way, Miyamoto said that he limits NSMB and Mario Kart to one per system for that reason.

All they need to do if they REALLY don't want to make another F-Zero is give GX an HD upgrade. Maybe add in some new parts or machines, hell maybe a new cup of tracks if they're feeling ambitious. Imagine how amazing this game would be with online multiplayer!

Yeah, many broken controllers. I'm working on beating all the staff ghosts and Save Jody on very hard, it's the only level I haven't beaten on VH. I have a video up on my channel of me beating MCTW's staff ghost.

This really was the golden age era of gaming for me, before triple-A game design ruined it forever.

I've never played F-Zero but I've always wanted a new game. There is ABSURD potential for the game with today's hardware. The competitive scene would be bigger than Smash Bros.. I've always appreciated this game for how hardcore it looks, how fast it's not afraid to go. It's nonstop, unadulterated, hypersonic, action without the constraints of trying to be easy. Every second is the adrenaline rush of simply trying to not get vaporized from the speed.

I really wish they made a new F-Zero game that was as good as this one.

i remember having these tracks memorized like the back of my hand, all the speed boost locations, all the turns, the trouble spots where youd go flying off if you didnt take em properly. Racing down the track like the devil himself was on your bumper just to get that first place position XD this game was so challenging for me then, and so much fun!

Taking a look into the gameplay of that era might surprise you. MGS2-3, Zone of the Enders 1-2, DMC3, Metroid Prime, Halo 1, Contra: Shattered Soldier, just off the top of my head. Too many to name, really. They all look even better played on their original consoles with a pixel booster. Remasters are a scam, they always look worse than the originals.

It's not like the Mario Kart games that if you fall, you're picked right back in the action, although you'll waste some time. F-Zero on the other hand isn't. You fall once or lose all your energy, that's it, game over fucking loser, start all over again. This is why I fucking hate F-Zero.

That gave me PTSD seeing that, I knew it was going to happen!

Just recently discovered this series and the SSX games. When I was a kid I never thought to try them as I was more into the platformer genre like Spyro ratchet and clank, Jak and Daxter etc. As an adult it’s been fun finding these gems I never tried, but it’s kind of bittersweet too because I can’t help but feel like I missed out on some good shit when I was younger. Better late than never

Beautiful game, looks like it gets the adrenaline pumping. Hoping to get this game soon!

So this is how good this series is... o_o

Best racing game ever made, they don't even need a sequel, just remaster it (remaster not remake) bump up the resolution, keep that rock solid 60fps and add online competitive play. Done.

Haven't played this game since about 2006. Thanks for the nostalgia rush.

FZero gx was the first GameCube game I ever bought when I was 4 years old. I was not ready for the speed.

There's never been a track name more fitting than Big Blue - Ordeal.

Well, there's the F-Zero AX arcade machine. To my knowledge, Circus Circus in Las Vegas still has two of them. Southern California also used to have three of them, but their locations have all been shut down. (There was one at the Winnetka Theaters in the San Fernando Valley, another one at Tustin Lanes in Orange County, and a third one I found in San Diego that I can't remember where it was.)

Don't believe I've ever witnessed somebody play on such high difficulty, make normal people mistakes, aaaand *still* come out on top! Good shit.

Damn I really wish they would make a new F-Zero. GX was by far my favorite. The OST, tracks, variety of racers, and fast pace of it were all just perfect.

Even if we got a new F-Zero it would never have this level of soul in the character line up, soundtrack, or track design. The Nintendo/Sega team up combined with the design sensibilities of the early 2000s could never happen again. I’m just glad we have this

I find comfort watching this

For some reason I really like watching gameplay of this cup the most. Fire Field - Cylinder Knot, Green Plant - Intersection, Lightning - Halfpipe, Big Blue - Ordeal: almost all of the courses are very memorable for me and/or are just really fun.

You have NO idea how many times Green Plant killed me as a kid.

I rather have this remastered than a sequel.

This was the ultimate proove for all the haters that the Gamecube outstripped the PS2 by far! I would wish for a direct sequel on a modern Nintendo Console. I am 100% sure someday it will happen!! This also even surpassed Quantum Redshifts graphics on a stronger console (xbox). This game was very siutable to make PC Kiddies cry back than, because not even PCs could offer this kind of graphics and fermate at the same time! If you wanted to destroy your PS2 let it try running that game and it starts smoke😎

This game was ahead of its time.

This game is still in my top 10 all time, i just can't understand Nintendo sometimes as F-Zero and GX in particular was really a special challenge.

I'm confident we'll get a true F-Zero game on the Switch in a foreseeable future.

@@mikaelrivacov5705 I had mine stolen a couple years ago. First game I got back. For AX you have to have an Action Replay though. If you have trouble unlocking Diamond, use the Bright Swallow-Z. Anyway, I hope you and I can enjoy it for another 17 years because apparently Nintendo lost their creativity.

The company has a new direction with no passion and afraid of taking risks only focusing on making profit out of their current most popular IP's while leaving others behind as we'll never get a new F zero greater than GX/AX. I'd wish they'd prove me wrong however unlikely.

Since this game came out I’ve been waiting for a better futuristic racer to come out. It never happened. This game is the pinnacle of the genre and will likely never be topped.
