I think you're right that players need to look hard at their own times to determine if they can catch top players. So it's not so much about how to beat Misa as it is being an optimal driver.

Frontrunning the start of mMC1 as Fox really is the funniest thing... the only thing stopping you at that point is-well-you.

Or just hope his internet messes up and he gets disconnected ;-) But seriously Mengsk, when you showed how much time you lose with the bad lines, i realise that i actually take all the bad lines you mentioned lol

It is a wildly different experience seeing top players race to their absolute best ability, seeing Misa flawlessly do the boost patterns and get so far away from racers really puts into perspective how broken the Fox still is even with version 1.3.0, seeing Nag get those those necessary Skyways is very insightful knowledge for any Goose. Hope we can get more advice on beating Misa on Mirror Queen and King Tracks, and seeing boost patterns too.

I really appreciate these commentary videos. I haven’t been playing for long, only about a month, and I struggle hard in stacked lobbies, so it’s nice to hear someone point out what’s right and wrong

I burnt myself out playing this game, trying to stay in a decent rank and at least beating two rivals during races. Seeing this video (very informative btw) proves I'm a little too sloppy with my driving compared to y'all tops. I do plan on playing again, I just need to practice the mirror tracks more and tighten up my driving.

Good video, I was asking about this on livestream, this analysis is exactly what I wanted to see.

Man, I thought I was a pro, but my times are nowhere close to yours/Misa/Nag. I appreciate the top-level strats, especially the skyway strat on mSO.

A "1st place DISadvantage" with bumper patterns could be a good nerf on all machines... whoever is up front experiences the same issues.

I really hate that the fox can go down to basically 0 health and then recover to full. It means that every lap is the same as the last, and if they are in front they just have to do the same lap a few times.

Actually it doesn’t recover. It’s HP fully unless you use a little exploit to regain your energy fast mostly all Fox users know this

Yep, the swaying from side to side I see some Foxes do while driving over the pit stop.

I think if they cut about 1/3rd of the recovery bar off on most maps it would be a massive improvement. If you wanted to front run with aggressive boosts the first lap, you would be down a lot more health than people who were more conservative, and without being able to constantly boost other racers that arent as reliant on boosts would be able to catch up more.

There is a tourney next week and I want to hijack this video with a question that perhaps you already answered in the past but... How are there people playing so well with FS? I struggle a lot in U curves and getting out of the pack. And it saddens me to see that everyone plays Falcon or Goose, some really good peps with Fox, and just a few FS, and some Japanese goat players with FS. I wonder, what they do, so I can try to imitate.

How to defeat Misa? Just hope he crashes out XD

Just a question, but if you remap your ZL to hold down, will there be any tracks or spots in the game where this might be problematic for you?

I haven't tried it out yet but I would think if you got accustomed to it that it would be beneficial

One thing that frustrates me about this game is how red placements effectively play cover for the lead car on many maps, which makes it even more unlikely to catch up. I'm not sure what the 'solution' is but I think some timing adjustments need to be made. I also don't think blues should be in the grand prix, at least CPU controlled blues that can effectively cheat. While it is a potential obstacle for the lead car, once again it tends to screw the following cars navigating the reds.

Very few situations where 1st place has a bad bumper pattern, maybe they could alter this a bit

@@brandonwilliams6119 I think more RNG could cause more problems than it solves but they could adjust the timing of some drops based on the position of the lead car. At least on the final lap. Not to the point of screwing them but at least to ensure there's a significant obstacle they're forced to deal with. That could at least help to balance it for the following cars. The only potential issue is the lead now dictates the timing which might be possible to abuse but I can't imagine being any worse than it already is.

I've beaten him only twice in proper Fox duels, both times only because he hit a red in lap 4. Usually I can keep his pace for only 1-2 laps, then he slowly vanishes in front of me. 😅It's fun having the better start and trying to block him as long as possible, but sooner or later he passes anyways.

@@KG-ck9hb "female name" is a cultural bias. In India for example, names ending in -a aren't necessarily masculine or feminine. I.e. "Shiva" is a masculine deity and "Devi" is a feminine deity.

As a fox main I won’t lie I ko more stingrays then any other car😂😂😂😂

@@MengskGX u kidding sting ray is already a mess with its insane speed at this point all the cars are balanced I don’t see to many foxes win races that much. Mostly it’s the falcons and stingrays

Fewer Foxes around since 1.3 patch, Fox will be OP in lesser lobbies but in pro lobbies its quite difficult to survive a GP with Fox
