In most office job interviews, you have to prepare to answer 3-4 competency questions, which are based on the job you apply. Use STAR technique. S - situation. T - task. A - action. R - result. I went through many tough external and internal interviews in the last 22 years due to restructures and acquisitions.

Answers dont always have to be serious. Personality also important. When asked, what is your weakness. Say 'pringles' as in the crisp. Once you start. U cant stop. They will see the funny side of u

@@kevincswong 其實我地兩個都唔太prefer啲太繁榮既地方，長遠嚟講希望可以住返啲靜少少，遠離市中心既地方，所以都盡量想避免去London，當初揀Birmingham係因為我老公讀master既大學喺呢度，所以就作為落腳點。

Do you suggest apply in HK first before going or apply when arriving in the UK? I heard that those employers prefer you are already in the UK.

I think it’s a good idea to start applying before you come to the UK. Even if you don’t get any offer, you’ll still be able to learn more about the application and interview procedures, to prepare you for further job hunting when you arrive.

I applied to around 120 job positions from 2020 to 2022. It's not easy. I can't wait and getting very impatient. I am planning to go to UK first. What I find --> Before I get any offer from UK, I already got an offer in HK. It's very tough... =(

As the restrictions start to ease, candidates will be expected to attend interview F2F soon. Cheating (e.g. written script) will no longer be possible at interview.

Haha I don’t mean cheating when I mentioned writing scripts. I didn’t actually have the script with me during my interview, neither video nor F2F. It’s just a way for me to have a brainstorming session regarding all the questions that might come up during an interview.

Yes it is. They need to ensure that the tenant can afford to pay the rent during the tenancy period, otherwise upfront rent will be required.

我自己比較少研究呢個行業，不過上求職網站search過，都見到好多招聘廣告。至於會唔會請香港人，英國呢邊有法例保障，僱主係唔可以因為求職者既種族，而去決定請唔請佢，所以一切都係取決於個人能力同表現，唔需要太擔心👍🏽

帶個結它.面盆.可以衣食無憂!

最慘我d 工作經驗同一般常人大纜都扯唔埋🤣🤣 我係火車佬

其實呢邊工作機會都算係幾多，不過都好睇你想搵咩工，起初如果咩都唔介意做既，我相信搵工都唔難。我自己返緊工，我先生就畢業，至於薪金，其實唔同行業同工種都可以差異好大，可以google一下你有興趣既職位既uk salary，會搵到一個大概既數。

好奇問句，咁你點答那條最瘋狂的問題呢？

我13年前未返回加拿大同現在一樣，都會唔同意香港人講中文時不時加英文在裏面，好似妳話好多人出來後覺得英語唔惦.呢啲就是壞習慣好似妳在片中加插好多英文字，示有好多回流加拿大的香港人都是這樣.老實說本地香港人一是講中文另一英文唔喜歡兩個混埋一起，除咗大陸人唔識英文一味普通話要全世界陪佢哋講。

都吾知你嗡咩，我週圍大把大陆人啲英文比Hk好，况且大陆是上升中的大国， 系精嘅都学番的大陆嘢。 我学校几个有远见的父母都sent 仔女(鬼)读华语。我的 「殘体字」也是这两年学的。

我英文唔好搵工容易嗎？
