There are 3 types of sealant, Silicone based, Polyurethane based and Acrylic based. The best one to use for caulking windows or exterior work are medium modulus silicone based sealants, something like Dow Corning 791-N weather sealant. It will last a lifetime, does not crack, harden, discolour or be affected by UV degradation or UK temperature variation. Its whats used in high rise buildings. For most single part sealants, there is a use by date... so when you buy sealant, make sure you check if there is a use by date. Silicone sealant past the use by date do not cure properly. These are generally more expensive, but if applied properly, will never have issues with them for 30+ years. Anything that is translucent is not a silicone sealant, more likely acrylic based, these will turn yellow after 6 months, harden and crack thereby ruining any seal.... my 2 cents for the day. @@Dobame I don't, I am an exterior cladding guy. But if your shower tray is plastic, i.e. the seal has to cater for a bit of movement from loading and or expansion from different material and temperature, I would go with a polyurethane or silicone based sealant, medium modulus. You will inevitably get mould on it at some stage, so a sealant that says anti-mould would suffice. You could just use a black sealant so you never see the mould 😂. Check out the use by date. Eitherway, you'll be recaulking it every few years. UK house construction sucks!

Hello,多謝你嘅有用分享🙏🏻想請教下如果我需要填補返啲bricks 嘅罅隙，請問用邊類物資填補返比較好同耐用，因為我車房頂有啲bricks見到有罅，亦都有滲水入車房內面天花位置，所以想補返睇吓有冇用🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻同埋我個flat roof 嘅felt 有啲位置吾平，所以落雨後就會有個水氹仔，可以用啲咩嘢整返平嗰地面？🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻thank you

@@backtotheuk 首先多謝你嘅回覆呀🙏🏻brick隙用mortar 可唔可以用好似玻璃膠包裝嗰種？flat roof 嘅黑色felt係室外，因為我見到室內天花嘅環保夾板有滲水，所以想睇吓可唔可以自己DIY 補返🙏🏻我上網搵到有啲係油roof嘅roof seal coating ，含有bitumen-based 吾知道啱唔啱🙏🏻thank you

有啲膠會跟個蓋，如果無可以用保鮮紙包住只要唔入空氣就會減少膠頭嘅膠變硬。
