Absolutely! I never say that DPY or any young guys should just wait until top players like LD or LCW to get old. What I said is that time is not with LCW. I see that many young players are working hard and they ARE joining the top ranking. Look at DPY, CL. Wang Zhengming is also a very quality player who is younger than CL and is just ready to blossom anytime. There is also Axelsen who is only 18.

I would very much want to see LCW do well. He deserves at least a WC. I think next yr is almost his last chance if he were to ever win a WC. But winning the Olympic four years from now is extremely hard. He will be like what Peter Gade is now.

I think Liew Daren has more potentials based on his recent consistent performances, and strong smashes and good deceptive style. Not many out there could execute powerful smashes,,...and during his match with LD in Thomas Cup, he even smashed from his baseline to LD's baseline with a very strong smash. BTW, LCW still seems to be quite fit. Let's see.

depending on what kind of champ are you talking about, I don't necessity disagree with you on that. I agree that he is good but not great. Now, do you disagree with me that Du shows good energy in this game? Do you disagree that it gets harder for Lee to win a WC or Olympic as he gets older? or do you disagree with me that Du is much younger than Lee? Or do you disagree with me that I want to see Lee win a major before he retires. Not sure what you are disagreeing???

*Fantastic defend by Du Pengyu. LCW look very difficult to encounter him. Furthermore, LCW smashing a little bit light, no power. His stamina is also questionable. That is why he lost so many time to Chen Long and Lin Dan from 2012 until 2016...*

I don't like lcw screaming the win like that while the final decision hasn't even been given by the chair empire . Maybe he was so sure that the shot was in, but for me it looked like it was out. He already did it in All England once. No meant to be an offense, just a personal thought.

No offense. Just saying my opinion. I respect badminton player like Du Pengyu. We can see clearly he's hardworking and a fighter. That's the top quality should be there besides talent and persistence. But, Du Pengyu doesn't have outstanding skills so far..At least, from what I see from the younger generations that have been improving with great potentials: Chen Long and Liew Daren.

Not sure what you are disagreeing...Don't see how what you said contradict what what I said. I agree that LCW won. I don't necessarily disagree with you that Du won't be a champ depending on what kind of Champions are you talking about. I don't think he will be an Olympic Champ. He is not likely to win a WC. But LCW also has not won Olympic nor WC. But someone like Chen Jin has. Du is totally capably to win a super series. Even Jonnessen and Deran Liew have won such. Du is better.

These young players may not win titles in a early age like that of the last generation of players like Gade, Taufik, and LD for a reason. I conjecture such is due to the changing of the scoring system. Playing 3 tough sets of 15 points last for well over 2 hours. I don't believe that Gade could hang around on the top level for so long under the old system. The new system allows players to have a much longer career. I don't buy into the thoughts that the young guys are not as good.

He is not that good. If you are to be the next star, you have to beat Lee Chong Wei at least one in out of four meetings. After he lost this final, in french open he lost in the first round. He is not the next big thing so do not have to pay so much attention to this player. Chen Long passed the test. However, whether he can be like Lin Dan. That's another question to be answered soon.
