Today’s VLOG began over 7 years ago, when I surprisingly discovered I was pregnant with our first child Noah! 🤰🏻👶
這對於我和Laurence而然都非常震驚，而最大的難處，就是如何向我們的父母交代！😰
It was a huge shock to me and Laurence, and one of the scariest parts was having to break the news to our parents. 😰
在這部影片裡，我第一次和父母真正地坐下談論有關於那段艱難的日子，了解他們真實的看法。
In this video, I sit down with my mum and dad and hear their honest thoughts about that challenging time.
身為上一代父母的他們，有著較傳統的觀念，又該如何面對這一切？
Battling with their responsibilities as parents and their cultural beliefs, could they accept what had happened?
他們對於我在讀大學期間就懷孕有什麼看法？對於這個從未見面過的外國爸爸又有什麼看法？年少輕狂的我們，又真的能盡為人父母的責任嗎？
How did they feel about me being pregnant so young and whilst I was at university? What did they think about the fact they had never met this Western father? Could they trust us to be responsible?

爸爸媽媽真係好開通同教養 聽爸爸講佢朋友仔女唔係律師就醫生，應該佢地心裏曾經都有糾結，但都最終相信女兒尋找自己人生，對有一定年紀嘅人唔係咁容易！婆婆超好可愛，好羨慕好有愛既家庭❤
這是好有愛的家庭，這麼優秀的父母和優秀的女兒。我一路看一路哭。。。。

作為亞洲家長，仲要自己本身又係醫生護士，確實係好難接受自己小朋友唔係行傳統嘅路，但因為有愛，爸爸媽媽都可以陪小朋友開發新嘅路，呢段真係太感人。

其實冇得你唔接受？每個人都有自己嘅路行 所以我覺得只有尊重。更何況佢哋又唔係中學生懷孕….其實喺而家呢個年代係好平凡
It's funny how your dad says he's the traditional Asian dad but the very fact he was open to change at all speaks to me that he's not. What an amazing and intelligent, humble man he is to learn from his children and not be an arrogant stubborn person who wouldn't entertain the possibility (my father is like this). For me, my Asian parents are also so strict on finances being the most important thing for life and career, to hear what your mom said was so incredible I couldn't even believe it. I don't want to disrespect my parents because they tried the best they could, however I wish all parents could be like this. You parents are truly a diamond in the rough.

完全明白你當時同父母講未婚懷孕呢件事個種心情 我同老婆又係同你地一樣（even tho we been together way longer)，我係英國要video call 番去同爸爸媽媽講女朋友大肚呢件事緊張到傻，因為華人有種stereotype 就係呢樣野就係一種壞事。 我諗你其實好幸福，父母雖然好似好嚴謹，但其實佢地好open minded 同埋真係好support你。 at the end of the day, as long as you are happy, they are happy.

在這樣的父母建立的家庭下成長好幸福，一對很有素質、智慧和謙卑的父母，香港家庭很罕見😢
我再次留言，可以有錫自己既老公，誕下健康的小朋友，家庭有經濟基礎，係天大的福氣，唔係好多人有呢啲福氣，無論幾多歲，最緊要人生呢個過程有好好地走過，你個同學未必有你咁好命。
呢集睇到我不停流眼淚😢 真係－個好幸福嘅家庭❤ 父母永遠在身邊支持你💪🏻 我一家人都好支持你哋😍
其實我覺得唔係全部都係唔好，因為至少你哋有多啲時間可以陪到兩個小朋友，我姨媽係一個高齡產婦，而家成50歲兩個小朋友都係四年班，佢哋成日都話好想媽咪可以早啲生佢哋，佢哋好驚佢哋媽咪唔可以陪佢哋好耐，而且你哋兩個咁後生，有好多時間可以陪小朋友經歷一啲刺激啲嘅歷險，可以帶到比小朋友唔同嘅生活感受，至少我覺得呢一樣嘢對小朋友嚟講係一樣好好嘅嘢，係一啲與別不同嘅學習方式☺️☺️

U guys are so lucky because u have a loving parents. It is so touching when yr parents shared their thoughts about yr pregnancy during yr university education. It is so rare in Hong Kong's Asian family. U are so lucky to have supportive parents who are so open-minded.
