When Foxxx went to jail, Eric B had to find another MC to legitimize the contract. Biz Markie introduced him to Kid Wizard, aka Rakim and the rest was history. So Ra gave Eric his props but 50% made no sense after a while. It's like Jaz-O asking Jay-Z for half of Roc A Fella just because Jaz I discovered Jay.

Growing up in East Elmhurst in the 80s and 90s,was the greatest, family oriented neighborhood. Working class people with homes. Lived around Kid N Play, Kwame, Sweet T. I remember the Ice Cream truck. As a kid we always respected Eric B, we made sure when playing dodge ball in the streets we made sure we didn't let the ball hit his car or he would be out there with the belt. These dudes are disrespectful and immature.

Facts. I gave it a thumbs down initially but I listened to the entire interview and recanted. I gave it a thumbs up. The very fact that Eric B mentioned a jewel from his Old Dad and how Kane's pops used to roll with his pops indicates how black men of my age group had a pops(or maybe an uncle) that used to put us up on game. The young lion, Flip, is a testimony of what very little guidance looks like. Eric B was schooling him throughout the entire interview with composure and principled answers. I began to see how my age group left a lot of youngsters out there to approach life with very little to almost zero guidance. I see it clear as day. When a man trains a young man to shut his mouth and listen, he grows older and learns how to observe for the jewels coming from a OG like Eric B. This young brother is an indictment against me and my generation (some/many of us) who failed to perform our duty. Now he's a grown man with little regard for good solid teaching which is what he was receiving. At least the seeds have been dropped. Hopefully they will take root and bring forth fruit.....which is the best part of any seed.
