F-350 4x4 Ambulance converted to a beautiful Expedition Truck Camper

It feels great to finally show you Andy's ambo after hanging with him at expo all these years. Believe it or not, not much has changed in those years, which means he did it right the first time! What do you think of his awesome rig?!

super cool to see where this thing ended up! I built the cushions for the seats in this thing and was so jealous when I saw it in person!

Oh that’s so cool! Nice work on the cushions. Ya Andy killed it
As paramedic I kind of have an affinity to the ambulance builds. Even though you didn’t notice, I noticed he had left the original cabinets in place. Decent build.

Good point, I would imagine in your case you may want to gut the whole interior! Or just build something else, I could see that being weird for a paramedic! Thanks for sharing your perspective

I’m a Paramedic also and love the Ambulance builds. But knowing what’s been on that floor and walls. No amount of cleaning could make me want to sleep or store food in that box ever!

I believe that is one of the best Ambo conversion's I have ever seen . Its nice to see he got rid of the "dead Guy" vibe and the "My husbands having a hear attack can you help him"? vibe .Thanks for the video. We enjoyed it here at crappy work.
That is one sweet rig. Excellent video showcasing this Ambo.

Beautiful, super functional build. Nice work Andy!
In the world of solo camping, this video is a visual manifesto. Solo overlanding becomes a declaration of freedom, where the solo camper's journey echoes in the rustling leaves, the open skies, and the distant horizons.
Great ambo build! I love the interior white/wood combo and all of the storage.
Looks like an absolute beast! Love the look with the singles

Great video. My friend used to earn $ 27,500 per year selling black plastic pocket combs out of his stepvan. He was overweight and sold the combs through his little service port sliding window on the passenger side of the van !!

This Amby nailed it. Cushions that double as insulation and the ottoman/bench/toilet/stool wow!

Man, thats sweet. Ive purchased a 1 ton van ambulance and i own a 02 ford excursion 1 ton with load assist, with a 7.3, 4x4. We will be transfering all running gears over to the ton ambulance so we can have a more versatile and stronger machine. Capable of camping or living comfortably. Van is a 2004 so there will be some changing for the 6.0 to 7.3 power stroke diesel.
Great vid man. Totally subbed.

Awesome build man! I have a trial and error build 2017 4Runner that has a pile of coin in it, I wouldn’t dare guess what this one cost. It really isn’t about that though. For me at least it’s a way to get the family out and actually enjoy it. I can settle for a fire and a saddle blanket. You really did a great job of transforming it, I first thought it was a boutique build. I love it. Do you find the size a limiting factor? Cheers

I personally need a dinette to work and eat. A recliner is fun in a house but not super practical in a small space like this, from my experience. Although there are some cool couch/bed designs out there for those who want that

Get rid of those Fox shocks...too much maintenance. Get Bilstien's for RVs...the truck will ride just a well and you'll get twice the life out of them. Nice build.
You too can have one of these! All you have to do is be a trust fund baby. 😂

I have one of those! 2003, after a half-century of make-do camping in lesser rigs, we built our ExpeditionVehicle on a 1996 Ford CF8000 commercial truck. Over two decades full-time live-aboard. . 1968, at 16yo, I left high-school for the trades program at the local junior-college. Welder-fabricator. 1970, I fabricated titanium components for submarines. 2023, I bid on a contract fabricating tungsten surgical components... us$250 hourly, plus us$300 per diem. They are happy with my hourly, countered at two-fifty per diem... ... although we live a ten-minute walk away from the shop.

Andy worked incredibly hard on this build, did it all himself. You have no idea how much money he has into this and it really doesn’t matter! Unless of course you are trying to build an ambulance conversion? Specific questions are always welcome!
Looks nice, but top heavy. Rolls like a canoe in a typhoon.

Tough to have an ambo not act that way, although his seems pretty well mannered compared to others I’ve seen
Cummins conversion!
Just to let you know. In England, not sure about anywhere else, the two fingers facing forward is flipping someone off. As in the same thing as the middle finger. Just letting you know, I personally don't care but this world is getting whimpy.
Save up money for engine repairs and remember they pull the cab completely off the truck for any serious engine repairs.
@Down2Mob

7.3 is super reliable and will easily go over half a million miles if maintained correctly, but yes any motor could need major maintenance at any time
@crazyoilfieldmechanic3195
7 ай бұрын
@Down2Mob I know of 10 companies that invested in them back in the early 2000's and they still have several not running sitting around out back that became far to expensive to have the engine repaired on after 150k. And yet I have 6 different 94 to 97 Cummins powered Dodge trucks that all run and drive. The 7.3 reliability record is WAY better than the 6.0 but it has nothing on a 12 valve Cummins except that it is more difficult and expensive to repair.

@@TheGrimsockfacts are facts. Just ask that youtuber that bought that 2020 F350 1ton used with the warranty that had 50k on it. He got stranded a long ways from home when the fuel injection pump crapped out and the local Ford dealer said the warranty wouldn't cover it and wanted 10k to fix it. He sold it to the dealer and went home and spent some time and money on maintenance for his 12 valve CUMMINS powered Ford crew cab that had NEVER left him stranded. Facts are facts.
