On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

Concorde! For those interested, there are articles on the web that describe how in 1985, British Airways offered Concorde to be used in NATO intercept trials using F-15 Eagles, F-16 Fighting Falcons, Grumman F-14 Tomcats, Dassault Mirages, and F-104 Starfighters to converge on Concorde on a stern intercept course. Only the English Electric Lightning was able to successfully do so, specifically Lightning XR749, which was described as "a hot ship, even for a Lightning."

I think they were retired a little to early. If they were around now, with newer electronics, engines, materials, i could picture them being flown heavy by the middle eastern airlines, like out of dubai, they can afford to fly on these things and would be willing to. Newer engines could allow supercruise or make it so they dont boom over commercial areas.

The mad is basically a big metal detector. Subs would have to be fairly shallow for it to be effective...don't remember the exact depth, but around no more than 100' depth or so. On exercises the AW operator would scream out "MAD,MAD,MAD!!!" when he got a spike...and depending on what we were doing I would drop a smoke marker. Never got a Mad hit when we chased Soviets, mostly as all the ones we were chasing were at depth. Thanks for having the P-3 in this one, brings back memories (Obviously not of F-22's forming up on us...LOL.....Though we did get a very close intercept by a Taiwanese A-4 that was like 10 feet away and a bit lower to the port wing. Also had a number of Us aircraft form up with us. Good times...and I was much younger and skinnier. :)

Very sleek and cool looking. Watching it take off was another thing as well - took a long time to get off the runway, dragging its butt slowly while climbing with engines glowing, lots of smoke and noise! Trying to intercept a concorde supercruising at Mach 2.04, I can imagine how much of a hassle it would be.😂 Also AAA+ move for GS to confirm amraams are air to ground missiles also 😊.

@@poiujnbvcxdswq Look it up again, 2.04 is it's absolutely top supercruising speed RECORDED, there was no confirmed mach 2.2 supercruise recorded. A recorded result and a proposed result are two completely non-related things.

MAD system monitors the earth's magnetic field, subs are made of steel which is magnetic, so the earths magnetic field would be attracted/concentrated through the sub's hull. The MAD system looks for these more concentrated magnetic fields which would be something the ASW crew would investigate further... as I understand it anyway.
